Well, I've been casually making continued "fan-fics" of the comic Invincible. Other than that, I've recently started on one based off of Mass Effect.

Um, I was really young.... and it was a continuation of some original manga story. It won the competition and this magazine published my work :P I was very proud.
But Most of the times I would just do some Art work and send it to the magazines.

Yah, I made like three of them and kept them in my sketchbook.

1st. Something about a samurai getting into a bar fight.
2nd. A zombie punching(drew my fist) through his coffin then looking for revenge.
3rd. It was a about a man breaking out of his cell after being experimented on for 10yrs. Kills everyone in the lab he was held in then jumps off of the roof and over the fence. I gave him a muscular physic and drew up two boss fights.

I think it's way too much work if you want to do it by yourself.
On the other hand if you have a group of talented friends, then it might be much easier to fulfill your project.
Drawing, editing, writing story by yourself is very very time consuming.

If a "comic" means "Pictures in boxes that make a story", then, yes, I have made a few comics in middle school... Stick figures, actually =]
