Okay.. who else has wondered about the infamous animal crackers? I for one am woundering why in the world the were named crackers when in fact they taste more like cookies.. does animal cookies sound so bad?? Lol what are your thoughts?

Because.... I dunno, maybe cuz they ARE NOT COOKIES!!!
Let's look at cookies. Made of sugar, eggs, milk, flour, and are generally baked wth over 3 inches in length at final result.
Let's look at crackers. Made of white flour, lard, McDonalds... Oh wait...
Okay, here's the real ingredients (From a bag of animal crackers I happen to have)
Wheat flour, Sugar, Corn Syrup, salt, Soy, Milk... Well, there's two sweeteners in there, but it's still not a cookie.
