Metroid or Halo

I'm just wondering what do you all like more Metroid or Halo? Just choose and say why you like it more than the other.

I'm a Metroid fan myself I've played and beaten all the games cept for Super Metroid and Metroid Prime 2. Metroid games definetly have better boss fight, and a bit more challenging than Halo even on Legendary. There are only a few boss battles in the Halo series like the boss fight against that Elite on that fore-runner ship on the planet next to the Halo ring that was destroyed. The Scarabs, Tartorus, and Guilty Spark are really the only bosses of the series.

Now comparing Metroid Prime to Halo Metroid Prime games up to the third game have better graphics. Yeah Metroid Prime 3 graphics weren't that great and it pushed the Wii to it's limits graphics wise. The Prime games have bosses are challenging and the games take sometime to beat.

Don't get me wrong I love Halo. The upgrades Samus gets can kick Master Chief's ass. She has missles, beam weaponry that can turn her opponents into ash, or into a frozen treat. Not to mention beams that can go through certain objects, and make repairs to a energy circuit. She really doesn't need to worry about getting out of her suit to go under water or into space. Only thing she needs to do is find the upgrade for her suit to have normal movement in water or lava. When she needs to get into a certain area she can go into her Morph Ball. She has a unlimited amount of beam usage unlike Chief who has to find ammo or replace energy weapons.

Her shielding is more advance she can take more damage once her shielding has been updated with energy cells. Only dis-advantge is her shields can't recharge by themselves she needs to find a recharge room or health.

Metroid is my favorite series of games ever though, so...yeah. I obviously prefer Metroid.

I say, they are equal. However, Halo is infamous as its style as a first person shooter, while Metroid is famous for its platforming puzzles and it's feeling of isolation in the game.

anyways i prefer Metroid. Halo is ok, but Half-life/ Counterstrike:Source and Call of Duty (IV) beats it as an fps.

Halo is a great game, though halo 3 was really really short. I beat it in like 4 hours on hard mode. Oh yeah I'm that good.

lol someone told me that once. prime games are for hard core gamers who want a challenge so it doesn't surprise me if that is the reason why.

Well, yeah, the games tend to let you wander around quite a bit without telling you what to do. The old ones especially...the newer ones such as Fusion and the Prime games actually make it a lot easier though by giving you hints or "missions" (Prime 3 gives you an objective and where to find it).

Honestly though I never found them very "difficult." Just more about exploration and less about linear gameplay.

I would have to pick Halo. Metroid isn't bad now and then but Halo can provide some mindless amusement which is what I need most of the time, Metroid is more challenging but if I want to do some thinking or a real game I got my Final Fantasies waiting. But I'm not big on either still rather pull out my ps2 and some Final fantasy.

Back on topic, I gotta say, comparing a nintendo game to one of PS3's or 360's top games is kind of a one sided battle, yes, Metroid is good, but Halo beats it overall.
You say: "How do you know? you only have a PS3, you've never played either of them." Oh but i have, i've owned all 3 consoles amongst their top games. Maybe not at the same time, but i have.
So i say even tho i like Metroid better, Halo beats it by a long shot.

Halo I guess.... but metroid on gamecube had awesome graphic for a game cube game ... and I still enjoy it. so... metroid on game cube vs halo?.....mmmmm hard... I metroid it's fun because you have Boss , you can upgrade your suite, You scan thing :D... Halo ... you seek and destroy every moving thing (yes ... also your team mate >=D) i like both.... hard to say... halo... for the online play ^^

the demo is on live. i think it's pretty fun, the story line is interesting they did mess something up with the Mark IV armor with them giving it shields.

Metroid is the better of the two. Always gives me a bit of a challenge to deal with. In Halo you just run, ride, and shoot. No challenge can be found in that sort of game. Thus making it dull.

:happy: Metroid all the way. Halo can suck the grime off of the Space Pirates armor! There is no way none of the Marines in Halo could even try and work in Samus Universe but she could mop the floor in Halo's Universe. They would be calling her to clean up the messes they couldn't fix right. Plus, console wise, Metroid is a far more accurate shooter than any Halo out there. The only thing Halo slightly has over Metroid is the graphic processor but that is it. If Nintendo was super serious about a system that was a graphic monster, they would have all others crying to their Corporate Momma's for some titty time. If they ever did a cross over game, Halo would have to have someone get seriously upgraded to even handle her regular weapon. I know this is going to have Halo fans mad, but when the new Metroid comes out and she shows off those skills Halo wishes they could do, don't hate cause Master Chief and Pals are limited in what they can do, just by a Wii and play some Metroid. And that is all I have to say on that one.
