Final Fantasy Newb

Hi guys I've been looking for a new game with killer story, so I thought Final Fantasy. Then after my stroke of genius I fogot there were nerly twenty of them. I've heard you don't have to play them all and most of them have seprate storys? Could you guys help me out on this one?

I played FFII, FFIII, FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFX-2 and I enjoyed playing them all... will except for FFIX didn't like it that much, but it's up to you if you which one you want to play b/c it seems that all of them have good story line

lol oops it's a miss typed or I should say I was kind of dump mood and accidentally thought XII was 7 and XIII was 8 but I change it now, but yea FFXIII do come out in Dec. Will maybe FF Versus XIII but I don't know a thing about it tho

no I was thinking of Dissidia: Final Fantasy, but it's not out yet, I only found out about it the other day, I just thought he might have been talking about that, and that I was really out of touch w/ the current releases

I loved FF9 its was my fave out of all the Final Fantasy games :D

XIII (13) is not coming out this year, already been confirmed multiple times by SqaureEnix.

hmm it will be confusing since all final fantasy series are great but i didn't play 11 nor 12 didn't attract me much but i loved 7 n 9 :D

I heard they were remaking FFVII for the PS3, if so, can't wait.

there not sadly.... i wish and 7 is the best ff game out there and yes they have different story lines they did remake 1 and 2 for the psp and 3 and 4 for the ds you should go try those if you want a classice ff game

yes they are good rpg games ever actualy well i probaly say ff7 it pretty interesting and ff`10 with tidus it wasnt that bad

I don't know when that was, but i got my most recent copy for $25.

well i thought that FF7's story pace was a bit off, to much dilly dallying at some parts and rushed at others(especially the end). same with FF8 , a strong love story in this about Squall and Rinoa, just not paced to well (especially at the end). FF9 was better (in my opinion the best FF), found it to be a good pace but the middle and beginning of the end was a bit rough. i always found it weird how FF10 went through the whole story without anyone asking Tidus' name, again a strong love story with Tidus and Yuna, thought the story builds up rather well but a bit short compared to the previous stories.
it really depends on your own opinion, for a lot of people 7 is the best so maybe you should start with that.

i say that the FF games are ok but you should try disgaea those games are the best rpgs of them all

I played FF Tactics for the GBA and loved it. I'm now playing FF-X and when I'm done I got FF-X2 to keep up with... Then I plan on getting FF Tactics:A2 for DS ^^

I think the FF games are great, and that's the early ones I'm talking about. Now they seem rushed and the main characters are generic.
