He said it wasn't a man, here's the thing you are all thinking of.
In Ancient Egypt , there was a myth that the Sphinx was the entrance to the city . Anyone who would want to pass would have to answer the question of the Sphinx . I forgot what was the name of the brave man who answered the question of the Sphinx . And this was the exact question . The man answered , " humans . During their infancy or childhood , they crawl . Hence , using both hands and feet . Meaning four . When they can already walk , they use their feet . When they reach the age that they're already having difficulties walking , they use a stick to provide them support . Hence , their feet and the stick , equivalent to three ."

The riddle is classically answered as "man."

When people speak of our race, it's mankind. You don't say humankind.

Its a monkey...

At what point do monkeys walk with the assistance of canes.

And don't say tails, because for one, they don't really use the tail to "walk", and they have the tail from birth.

not canes...branches

Dolly

not canes...branches

How is a branch something you walk on? It's not like they rip them off trees and casually strut around on their legs with them.

Well, my first answer woulda been the Age Cycle (Sphinx)
Man:
Walks with 4 legs in the beggining of life - morning
Walks with 2 legs in the middle of life - noon
Walks with 3 legs in the end of life - night

hrmm, but since Flow considers this wrong i guess i gotta think more "outside the box" lol

Think there is a Greek or Roman Myth about something like this Odepis Rex I think though I'm not sure on the spelling, He had to answer the question to get into a city.

Close, it's Oedipus

Also, Carolyn, it's established since the past PAGES that he doesn't mean "man". Please read.
