i think instead of giving that money to the buisnesses they should hvae given it to the people.. i mean it would help the economy even more IF people had enough money to put into it:pissed:

Why the (bad word) would you give the responsibility of fixing this mess, into the hands of those who created it in the first place?

Now, I dont know everything thats going on. But for now, I'm against the "bail out" bill.

Lucky you then Russkie. The House failed to pass the bill by 11 votes.

"rapidly and could eat into sales and profits.

The rescue bill failed by a vote of 207 to 226; 218 were needed for passage. About 60% of Democrats voted for the bill; only 33% of Republicans supported the bill."

There were reports about economists that claimed to have much better plans, that needed less money and would be much more effective.

Maybe. They are planning to go back and tweak it again until they get enough votes, and Bush will likely agree to everything that goes on the bill.

Now, I dont know everything thats going on. But for now, I'm against the "bail out" bill.

i'm against giving it to the companies..... like i said, give it to the people (and i do not mean those on welfare not working) but htose who do work.... if you have a lower income job th emoney should go to you.... if the governement is sooooo dead set on spending that 700billion i mean.

they could give everyone in the country (that has a lower income job) like 50 or 100 grand (TAX FREE).. then we would be able to put money back into the economy by paying bills and buying stuff. because if they give it to the buisness' it's not like they are gonna give it to the employees in forms of raises and such, so we will still be in this mess as the common people will not be able to buy as many things that are considered "luxory" becuase they (we)have to pay for over-priced gas and food + bills (i wouldn't mind having to pay the debt that bailout bill is gonna leave the tax payers in) IF i was givin a good chunk of money from it... but it's going to the rich.... so i say let them remember what it's like to be living on the bottom of the totem poll for a while. some may disagree, but i won't believe you if you say you'd turn the money down if it was going to you. i know i wouldn't (as long as it was tax free)
