Blockbuster Rental has decided to lower the price on the discontinued 40 gig PS3 model, by $40. Sony has also announced new chips for the inner workings for the PS3, to be effective in their machines by 2009.
Could we see more price drops on the way to Christmas? Will Sony finally be able to market out more systems and catch up to the 360 with it's ever increasing gap?
