Really? What I did was keep attacking. Go in for a strike when they are done with the combo and always stay a mid distance from them so you don't get wiped out by there mystic art, wait do they even have them at that point.....Anyway I used Luke in a party of Tear, Jade, and Guy. If you have to, train and train and train. It wasn't really hard for me but thats me. I'm bad at explaining so sorry if it was a useless affort to help. Oh yeah, go for Sync, his fast attacks are hell.

on youtube i saw luke vs asch and luke used pow hammer, how do u do that?

Wait....I must be off now. I thought Natalia joins later.... Okay then. Change of stratigy. Do the same but have at least natalia and tear out. They can heal and have some good range attacks. Have Luke(you, I guess) and Guy attack frontal but still keeping a distance because of the mystic artes. Sorry bout that, I was thinking of an area in Symphonia so I tought it was in the beginning.

It's an active skill. Sometimes when you get hit, it activates. Everyone can get it but tear has the actual attack which can turn into the powerful Ice Hammer. I think that was the name.
