new posts

everytime i come on my little info says a certain amount of new posts since my last visit but the number never goes down no matter how many post i read after i click it. how can i make it gow down so i know which posts ive read?

it goes down after you leave the page and come back plus it has a divider for the new posts and old ones

lol no i usually open forum in a new window while waiting on episodes to load and close it while watching them they clear that way for me

hmm i dont know why it doesnt work for you cause every time i do it the posts from that last time i checked forum are gone and most of the time there are new ones

well it worked when i logged off i guess its cuz im not using a computer im using a ps3 but thanks and dont worry im not offended that you laughed i just wondered why it was funny thats all.

hmm it should work without having to log out cause i dont think im ever logged off and it changes everytime i load the page it might be the ps3 or the way you got your internet opions set up.

well i have wireless and it could be the ps3 it doesnt do alot of things that you normally can do with a pc

i dont really have problem with isp it just everything else on vista it doesnt like my system. most likely cause i built it from scratch and vista still has alot of bugs to work out

That alert isn't supposed tor reduce the amount of posts every time you view an unread one. It simply informs you of how active the forum was in your absence.

If you're asking why you can't seem to tell whether or not you've read all of the newly made posts in the forum, then simply enter all of the forum category's with the "Unread Posts" icon next to it (i.e. if you're using the forum's default skin it would be the white right-arrow inside of a green neon, circle) and read all of the threads that have a gray box with a small upside-down arrow inside of it next to their name. This will indicate that the thread in question has unread posts in it.

If you would like to mark all new unread posts as read without actually reading them then go to the bottom of the forum index and you will see a white-colored text link that says "Mark Forums Read". Click it and you're done.
