Good anime related games

While the anime isn't particularily that great, Disgaea the games are incredible.
i'm playing disgaea 2 right now and it is by far the most in depth, complex but at the same time easy to pick up and fun tactical rpg i've ever played.

I tried on the first Disgaea a ways back and I must agree with you in that it was a superb game. I just never finished it because of the ridiculous amount of time that it required the player to dedicate to pure character training.

It reminded me of Ogre Battle.

yeah, the game seems to be extraordinarily time intensive.

you can spend hours and hours and hours going through a single item from your inventory, progressing the story nill, but levelling up characters and the item as well. the whole dark assembly, getting bills passed thing is interesting too.

Actually Ragnarok Online is a perfect example of that, I used toplay it quite alot but quite about last month.

True, but it doesn't follow the original story of the anime. Rather it's individual events take place many years before the war. But then it's probably better off that way instead of trying to live up to the anime in some aspects. They played it safe...
