I don't hate Bush at all. Many think his choice to invade Iraq (upon many other decisions) was a wrong one.
As the present stands, it "was" a bad choice, but as I read in an article that raises a good point, we can't be sure about that in the future. Who knows? Perhaps things will work out there and the country and surrounding ones will turn out to be powerful allies because of it.
All we can judge on is on the past, present, and soon-to-be future. Further than that, it's just speculation--albeit a speculation that's rarely considered.

i hate him, i call him satan afterall.
he got us into a war we cannot afford and should not have been in anyway (iraq) we wasted too much time, money and lives over there... no one is ever gonna turn over bin-laden..... it'd be like the catholics turning in the pope if he was a child molester... i just don't see it happening.... and since when do we attack countries for what their citizens did to us? it's about as terrorist-like as what al-quida did on 9/11..... the right people seldomly die in war, it's usually just poor joe schmoe who ahs been brainwashed into thinkingh he (or she) is defending their country, or someone who cannot make money because of lack of jobs.. we will neevr win this war, those people are religious extremists. it'd be like trying to get any religious people to admit they are wrong, really. it more-than-likely won't happen.

but when you don't listen to the people and think god is guiding you, then you need locked up in an institution.. especially for the god part. if you THINK you hear god's voice and it tells you to do something like war or kill/injure someone, then you need locked up, imo. how is bush any different than the nut cases that kill someone because "god told 'em to"? only difference is bush has sacrficed thousands of our people, and innocent by-standers and bilions of dollars to make his god happy, he need impeached and then possibly shot for the shape he has let this country get in. thank Krishna he'll soon be out, but i tell you what, i'm gonna lose all hope for this country (both as in intelligence and it's future) if mccain gets elected :(

I can't agree with many of his choices, but I can't hate him. Bush tried his hardest with what he was given, which just happened to include terrorist attacks and a shrinking economy. While his decisions did not lead to the best outcomes, he did try his hardest for the country. I'm sure there are other people that would have made worse decisions in his position. I'd like to see what everyone out there saying all that bad stuff about him and how he "screwed us over on purpose" would have responded to 9/11 and the considered threats from Iraq (no I do not agree with the war in Iraq, but now that we're there, I do believe we need to stick it out) and the failing economy.

You shouldn't make your focus on someone's intellect if you can't spell properly to back your own knowledge. While it's a popular conception that he's dumb, he isn't. In truth, George Bush has a recorded higher IQ than Al Gore.

No, I've been democratic for the past 8 years. (As little as that's worth when I was 10)
But the only problem is that people will give him shit because of his decision. He was faced with a crisis, and he acted upon it. Its always been his nature to act quickly and not think twice. And sometimes, that type of thinking can save a country. It just so happens that it didn't, and we're making conclusions too early about choices made years back.
All I'm saying is to wait and see.

Deep inside, I won't question that he's been making poor judgment, but like you said, "six years in", its been pretty difficult to find an opportunity to get out between continued terrorism and warhawks pushing to stay. Regardless, a deadline is coming along.

yeah all presidents will get blamed for the actions the president before him did (except for obama who some people believe he will be the savior of this country). bush should of gotten rid of fannie and freddy mae that is one reason why our country is falling into a shit hole. other reason would be the spending of the administration, and banks giving loans to those who want a expensive house or car that they can't afford to pay off.

Heard about the joke about online statistics? This is one of them.
In any case, there could be plenty to complain about. This may seem like the "same news" to you, but you need to consider when something happens, it continues. Opportunities rise to change things or even mend just a little--but in his last days, Bush has been a bit short of that line. We're facing a war on two fronts and an economy crash--you can't really blame the American people for pointing to the leadership.
While I prefer to wait things out before pointing my finger, there's no question in him having messed up in fixing other "mistakes".

How will complaining about him bring the dead soldiers back? How will it fix the economy? How will it bring back the innocent civilians killed? How will it repair the worlds view of America? If you want to fix something you need to actually go out there and work at fixing it rather than complaining about how bad the problem is. I'm not saying the complaints aren't justified though.
