How long can you play a game until your hands start to feel pain, ache, swell up(thumbs), become numb, bruise, etc.?

Basically tell me the duration of time you can last before you can't hold the controller any longer.

Me: I'd say around 6 hours.

Depends on the game. For WoW or something just like it, I can play all day. Like, from the time I wake up, to the time I go to bed. For anything else, I wont even last 2 hours.

I don't know. I've played a full 24 hours without any problem. I only have problems when my hands are already screwed up.

I've been part of a two-day LAN play in North Carolina last year. It consisted of Halo 2, World of Warcraft, F.E.A.R., and Battlefield. Some other games here and there. By the end of the two days I simply passed out when I got back home--no regrets, though!

Well, i once played from 8:00am 'till 5:00pm of the next day, and stopped just because i had finished that game, so i don't really know how long can i go.

I am able to play without any breaks or any interference, and I don't get any problems but, that doesn't mean anyone else should. you could run into serious health risks. Then wind up in a hospital or worse, maybe. so Streach for 15 minutes after every few hours or more.

I could(on a good game)go for about 15 hours untill I need something else to do.

Actually, they say 15 minutes for every 45 of play time. However a long time gamer would be unlikely to run into serious problems with it. The problem may be just in how they hold the controller, for example the difficulty in holding the origional model x-box controllers, if you are small handed, and vice verca large hands to smaller controllers like on the gameboy face and nes controllers.

the only games i can't play for long hours are racing games. I get sore thumb from keeping the button down and breaking. but of coarse i played games way to much and my thumbs are fudged up now. they can do this http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii101/scottsman/thumb1.jpg
