Is it true that anime is better than video game animations? (of this century)

In any case, the DB anime is better than the video games because the games themselves are pretty boring. (Only one I can think of ATM).

FF7: ADVENT CHILDREN is obvoisily better ,but they dont have a series of it. If they did then I think ppl would e watching it way more than anime.

Video games based on anime have a tendancy to be lackluster, imo.

Well the refinement of detail from CG compared to that of anime is quite evident I'd say. CG at it's current stages is more a basis of replicating realism, where as anime holds itself more to the traditional form. But if you take into account the fact that anime can be developed and produced far faster than CG animation can, then you realize that CG has it's disadvantages. The problem is that CG pushes it's limits constantly, so they're stuck in a situation where it's always going to take an extended amount of time in order to turn out a product. Anime on the other hand has simply been getting faster while improving quality. It's ease of production makes it more popular amongst producers as they can turn out more shows/movies, for a lesser budget and in a shorter period. It's sort of like south park vs. simpsons/family guy/etc. Since the episodes can be made so quickly, south park is able to cover more current events, whereas other animations (if attempting to be current) sling us humour that's slightly past it's prime.
I guess it's all a matter of how it balances out for you. do you want something high quality about once a year, or do you want more shows than you can keep track of that, though well made, fall short of the CG wow factor.

well the animations in anime is way better in my opinion....it's more cute(in most animes) and more entertaining to watch

Though I haven't a clue where you've heard this rumor, I must say that anime and video game animations are not something you can compare very accurately.
