I can't find any info on a second season, but I think that's because the main voice actor got in a really bad car accident or something. So it's leaning to the negative.

I loved air gear, so i hope they continue. The ending how they left it would kinda upset me if they dont.

i don't know about more, but i know funimation is releasing a box set for the series in december (according to some sites that have it for pre-order) amazon doesn't, strangely :( and neither does deepdiscount.com :(
