the first time i watched Ninja Scroll (movie) years ago, i thought it was really gory and I was a bit disturbed by it.

but after watching it again recently, it didn't seem quite as gory as before. maybe the element of surprise had worn off or i've gotten older and my definition of what's gory and scary has changed.

I would say claymore for anime series
but over all Hellsing....although it is anime it is not a series...just OVA
but I don't care if you all have seen hellsing you would enjoy it for the pure disembowelment that it offers
