I like Link and all, but I wasn't digging the cartoon Zelda. And I needed some time to adjust to the Chibi-esque Link from the Wind Waker.

I never got into the gameplay so much. I bought the first N64 release a while back, and then the sequel despite not finishing the first. Some golden moments, but like I said, it never stuck to me--although I adore some of the songs.

My best friend, on the other hand, is pretty fanatical about Zelda.

Let's put it this way.

Link kicks your ass, sticks the sword right in and holds you up like a freaking trophy. When you play the Legend of Zelda, the gamers are the true winners.
