The Desert Eagle, one of the biggest and most intimidating handguns in the world. A handgun this size and caliber demands respect and skill. If not fired properly, you will inevitably end up brushing your teeth with a large piece of hot, stainless steel. It can fire .357 Magnum, .41 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .440 Cor-bon, and .50 Cal bullets. Depending on what kind of cartridge it fires, it can hold 7-9 rounds and weigh up to 4-5lbs.

This topic is not only for the discussion of the DE, but mostly on what you think of guns in general. I thought if I were going to start a gun topic, I should at least post a pretty picture of one and some information about the selected firearm.

Would you own one? Do you already own one? Have you ever fired one, if not, will you? Do you believe guns are something that should be legal in the United States? Do you even care? Are you by any chance going to eat that last donut/baby?

Post your thoughts and opinions.

Of course guns should be allowed. People like to feel secure. They like to feel tough. Over 400 years ago they used steel, wood, and gunpowder to invent the firearm extension of the human race's proverbial penis aka the Gun.

People say guns are bad, and they kill people bla bla bla. The other side says guns don't kill people, people kill people bla bla bla. Maybe both sides should be locked in a big room with a bunch of guns so they can shoot each other. Guns are tools. They are also considered weapons, but I consider them more like a tool. For example, police officers have guns. They really don't use these, as they have much neater weapons like bats and tasers at their disposal. Their guns act as a tool of fear. The "He has a gun, he could use it, so I'll submit to his will" mentality is the real reason why people use guns. Police, people, governments, it's a big contest to show off your guns and only actually use them as a last resort.

As for normal people's use... they are more of a toy. Bang Bang Bang. Ooooh pretty bullets and explosions. That sort of thing. And like any toy, people will often use them for other purposes. Like shooting each other or using them the exact same way law enforcement does so they can get things that they want.

But hey as long as people aren't shooting at me, people I like, things that I like, or places that I like, they can shoot their guns all day. Won't bother me at all.

And yes I am going to eat the last baby, but the donut is all yours.

I love my .38 . 6 rounds, compact, and powerful. a trusty gun perfect for civilian use. you guys can bash on it all you want, call it a noob gun, i don't
care. it takes more skill to shoot this than your automatics ill tell you that.

Oh yes, they are legal in most places in the U.S. And the places that aren't legal SHOULD legalize them. It's in the constitution that gives us the right as Americans to bear arms.

Making a firearm illegal is only taking it out of the hands of the people and into the hands of criminals.
A cop cant shoot unless fired at. And it only takes one bullet in the right spot to end it. So who has all the power?

There are many reasons why people have and use guns, other than the "He has a gun, he could use it, so I'll submit to his will" mentality (as you stated).

One reason would be for home defence to protect a family, another might be because it makes loud noises and gives awe and excitement to those with a laughably small sized brain. But my favorite reason why I personaly heart guns so much, is because it pretects us from outside influences.

Yes, thats right, without guns we would not be able to protect this nation from any other nation wanting what we have, and bending it to their will. Without guns, how else would we stop some commie/fascist nation from waltzing into our lands and taking what is ours?

In this day and age, whoever has the biggest (and sharpest) stick in the neighbor hood is the one no one wants to mess with.

When I first started playing Counter Strike the DE was definitely my favorite hand gun. The thing has so much oomph that if you could see the recoil in the game and you knew if you didn't have the strength in real life it would literally blow your arm out of its socket. Of course all hand held weapons, battle tanks and even the mighty super air carriers are nothing compared to the nuclear bomb. That baby is one 'big stick' and whoever has the most wins.

The desert eagle is by far my most favorite Handgun I've never fired it but I personally am in love with it. As far as should it be legal in the US? I say yes Gun don't kill people, people kill people. If we were to take guns away from the citizens we'd be left with just the killers armed cause they will always find a way to get a weapon whether or not it is a gun and without a way to defend ourselves we'd be screwed.

My father and I both have .44 magnum DE's, and we recently took them along to go shooting last Saterday. Yes, it does have a rediculous recoil, but its NOTHING compared to the .50 caliber. If having a large piece of metal sticking out your cheekbone is the latest fashion trend, then the .50 DE is the look for you.

Ah, the nuke... one of my favorite toys. I totaly agree, so far, the tactical nuclear warhead IS the biggest stick on the playgrounds.

So let me get this straight, you're not a commie by heart? Forgive me for my ignorance, but i thought you were.

With all honesty, no, no I am not a communist. I pretend to be, but I'm not a communist, nor would I want to live in a communist country. That was just me being humorous.

They say guns are for protection, but why do terrorists use them? I, for one, will never get a gun. Guns take innocent lives and the one who kills innocents never repent for what they have done. (Except when they go to jail, but what can they do in there?)

As for the Deagle, it's just another weapon that kills but makes more of a mess.

Hey Koopa, if Mugen and I were both put in that metaphorical room you spoke of, who do you think would come out alive?

So, Mugen, you're telling me guns have never taken the life of a bad person? And even so, how can you say the gun is to blame if it is used to kill someone in any given situation? It has no conscience of its own, it does not care what its used for, it is a tool. Yes, a tool designed to kill, but what tool CANT be used to kill?

(And believe me, its going to be hard to think up of a list of tools I CANT find away to kill you with.)

A Knife can kill a person, why not ban all sharp objects? So can bricks and rocks, are you going to rid yourself of all blunt objects? And what about those things we constantly put in our bodies all the time such as smoking, alcohol, or even FOOD. Thats right, too much food can kill you.

The things with stuff like guns and knives and all that good stuff, is that the item is not the one that kills. True the weapon is the cause of death, but the wielder of a weapon is the one that kills, whether it be trigger, handle, or button.

A knife is used for cutting objects, it was not intended to slice through human flesh. A brick is used to build, not to kill humans. Food, alcohol and cigarettes are all pleasures, all not intended for killing. Now a gun on the other hand, is a weapon of destruction, it serves one purpose- to kill.

I can bet that the gun has killed more innocent people than terrorists. You cannot really contest that fact that the gun kills innocents.

Koopaking

You can kill anyone with any physical object. There is a way to do it, no matter what the object is. Gunpowder based weapons were originally invented to be used in war. In fact, dozens, if not hundreds of everyday objects we use today were originally invented to use in war or for killing purposes. Pretty much all the technology we use today, like the internet... was originally invented to implement into weapons systems. Warfare is inevitable between humans, so weapons will always be made, no matter what, even in peacetime. Guns are merely an easier way to kill people from a distance and ensure a nice clean, almost instant death or at least severe injury. There are much more effective ways of dispatching people, though.

1. Wrong.
2. Sort of wrong.
3. That may be true, but they still have the ability to kill.
4. Yes, but they can do more good than you're willing to admit.
5. And I bet you car wrecks and heart attacks have killed more Americans than guns.

And the last one... yeah, I can.

I personally own a Glock 22, which chambers a .40 Smith and Wesson. I like all of the kinds of guns- be it handgun (revolver or semi-auto,) rifle, shotgun, etc. Still, pistols are good because you need little space for storage, and with enough practice, can be deadly with one. Yes, you can kill without practice, but that's more along the lines of luck than skill.
I prefer skill any day.

I wouldn't want a desert eagle. Handguns are just not my style. I like the assault, sniper, and all-around rifles. Examples are (these are my most favorites): AK-47 for assault, the Bolt Action Springfield M1903 for sniper (because I like the classics), and the police standard issue M14 gas-powered semi-automatic rifle or all-around purposes.
