Free online games?

Can anybody recommend any online games that I can play for free, I heard guild war is pretty good. My WOW account is currently expire.

guild wars was kind of stupid, if you want free games start w/ the ones that get advertised in the banners on this site, Adventure Quest, MechQuest, DragonFable, Flyff, Rappelz, etc, since they're all free w/ no software to purchase eventually you will find one or two that you like

Yeah i'll just confirm that guild wars really isn't that good, I can point out that RF online also is now free to play although I haven't personally played it.

right now by far the best free game provider is ijji.com
they specialize in providing downloadable mmo games.

currently they host such games as:
gunbound (tons of fun, much like worms if you've ever played, except you earn gold and can spend it on items for your avatar which increase your skills)
gunz (counterstrike/matrix fps that you level up in and buy new weapons)
drift city (online mission based racing game has vs modes too, pretty fun)
soldier front (counterstrike clone)
luminary (i forget which this is a clone of, online MMORPG, havnt played it much)

anymore there are more, i'd check it out if you havn't already, great selection of free MMO games

yea i have an obsession for Adventure Quest. its a pretty basic game but extremely addicting. i play it at least 6 hours a day. i am aware that i need a life but im a nerd when it comes to games. its sad.

arclord is pretty good but i think the grinding in those online rpgs gets a lil boring after awhile i played silkroadonline for awhile something like 16 hours a day its one of the better ones out after they boot the botters that is lol. swords of the new world is really good too first online game i played that you control more than one char.

ive pretty much played everything that has been said already if not more, not to bragg , i never really went too far in each usually into lvs of 40-50 depending on the type of game. heres the deal a lot of free mmos are out , which is good for us gamers but keep in mind Korean MMorpg's are out there for your money (for example Cash Shops usually most expensive) Chinese MMorpgs Very repetive style lmao and music >_<. if you can find japanese ones, there pretty cool not too bad, usually have a twist of style.

also what was said earlier about guild wars , guys its not that bad , it just doesnt deserve to be bought, it has awesome graphics for an MMo theres many different equipment (my favorite thing) but the thing that most people do not like is A)Low Level standard B) its not Open Rpg c) lag control sux
it has its good points and its bad points i wouldnt recommend it unless you either plan on A) play with friends you know B) dont mind buying all the the expansions c) like to play with emotes all day lol jk

what i do suggest though is if your looking for free mmos, look up what kind of beta's there are , that way you always get into the newest stuff and you learn along with everyone else, instead of being stuck asking yourself ...in this game there are lv 120s ... im lv4 wtf am i gonna be doing for the rest of my life.

also makers of maple story are realeasing a new MMo a real one this time guys, so dont forget to check nexon , thats gonna be my next victim hehe.

i play a text based called dragon battle www.dragonbattle.com/rpg it's not bad for a text based. i think it's a nice change from a visual game i've been a staff member for 3 1/2 years and a admin now...nice people staff are helpful, game can be addicting but some times hard on beginners. you can't scam anyone which is of course a nice plus and you can have as many as accounts you want but make sure you don't abuse them by breaking the rules. big plus is it's free you can donate if you want but you don't have to.

You should difinitely try ArchLord, that the only game I'm into it right now. I also want to try Maple Story, but the game does not support Vista.

Check out Secret of the Solstice, it's really cool! It just came out of beta in December, so it's quite new as well. There's a lot of stuff to do and the graphics are nice. It's completely free, you just have to download it and start an Outspark account.

I would suggest Granado Espada. I was part of the pre-beta team on that and it's a great game, and it went F2P shortly after it was released, but I think you have to buy the game itself to play. It's the first actual MMO where you have to control 3 characters at once.

Oh.. also try Dungeon Runners from NCSoft (the guys who made Guild Wars), it plays ALOT like Diablo does, but it's got alot of clever humor in it and it's pretty fun. It's totally free to play/download.

A good free mmorpg would be Silkroad around a 500 mb download and is kinda grind heavy,but is very good for a free game.

It's not bad for a free mmorpg and has good pvp. Lots of race wars and don't need to be big to start them (11 I think).

i play diablo 2 LoD its the best mmo in my opinion its kinda small and you have to buy the game but its cheap, its also hell of addicting

The game I've been most recently playing is Mabinogi. It's comparable to Runescape, only a lot better, more unique, and Asian (I mean graphics wise, and it's originally Korean). I haven't been on in a few weeks, but the community was and probably still is very good. It just came out in march.
