New Layout Changes -- Vote Here

As some of you may have already noticed, there have been some changes going on within the site as of late in an attempt to improve everyone's overall anime viewing experience. Well we, the staff, are ready to give you all a more in-depth look at all of your favorite series with the following changes to the layout.

Whichever of the examples shown below that you, the community, votes on the most is the one that will be implemented into the layout. Note though, that it will only appear on each letter's individual page.

Simply vote for the one that appeals to you the most.

The choices are as follows:

(Note: Wherever you see a "staff pick" mentioned is where a certain mini-logo for any member of the staff will be placed in order to designate that the series in question has been recommended by the corresponding staff member. This will be explained in more detail at a later time.)

i would say the first one if you could put the alert w/ the ongoing and episodes even if you don't want to i still like it better.

I like the 1st layout, simple yet effective, also means faster loading page.

I agree, though #1 is slightly lacking in the razza-matazz department, it's easiest on the eyes and has the kind of user-friendly look that I know we all love. I like #1 myself.

and here I'm kind of partial to layout #3, it makes staff pick icon, the ongoing/complete status and the number of eps very visible where #1 the New Eps and Staff pick tags seem like they would be overlooked and I haven't really put my finger on what I don't like about #2 although the staff pick icon is more visible there as it is in #3

Layout 2 is the best one that gives the most information and is the most coolest

I myself am partial to # 3. Easy to tell the status, # of episodes, and the staff pick icon. Plus I just like the over look a lot.

Hmm just a thought here guys. I saw on one of the other fourms a post about having some kind of series complete marker. If you are going to change the layout format wouldn't this be the time to put that in?

You're exactly right, Jetmech49.
If you look at each of the choices you'll see that there's a spot in all three for the 'Status' of the series in question where the marker would be placed.


If a series is still airing we will mark it as Ongoing.
If a series has finished airing and we have all of the episodes available for viewing, we will mark it as Complete.
If a series has finished airing but we do not yet have every episode of it, we will mark it as Incomplete.

Cool. Thanks for clearing that up. It was kinda hard to tell you were going to do that since all that status box were "ongoing". (of course I also might just be blind, but thats normal)

I personly would vote for layout #1 simply because it looks like theirs much less code involved in the making of it. Less code means faster load up time and I'm kind of impatient sometimes. But whatever is picked I wont minde cuz this site still rocks.:D;):D

that's what demonfox said...yeah first one does look like there is less code to it.

1 and 2 are both nice. i don't like 3 because it isn't very sleek.

While 2 provides more information, which I like, 1 appears more streamlined and I like it more.

Layout #2 only appears to have more information while it provides exactly the same info as layout #1. If you were to look more closely at all three you would see that layout #3 actually provides more information than it's two rival choices.

i have to agree with corwin on this one. # 3 is better because not olny is it simple to read but effective. the staff pick stands out and all the alerts and odd color letters can be seen better. and as for not putting your finger on number 2 its that theres to many breaks in the page all the boxes make it more confusing for beginners to understand.

so my vote goes to # 3

it's already, it's the lettered pages that the format was changed on, was changed and implemented end of march, beginning of april
