anime list

umm i was just wondering if the home page anime list is up to date ? i noticed on the request forums that there have been a number of series added but when looking for them on home page or letter lists cant find them.

No not completely, some of the series have only been added on the individual alphabetical listing pages, only DemonFox is able to update the front page and he's not always around and/or able to do so, we're looking into setting something up though maybe were we add stuff during the week and do all the modifications to the list on the front page at the beginning of each week, new series can still be found on the alphabetical listing pages, but that would give him a little bit of a break to do things like that, but we don't know, work in progress

Why not make another admin?

i can see why they dont make another admin cause then youd have a bigger chance of the site getting hacked plus youd have a hard time keeping track of who was doing what.

actually there are 2 active admins and 2 active Mods, DemonFox and Jack are both admins, and Vyill and myself are mods, even so, Demon just happens to be the only one w/ access to change the main page b/c of the way he chooses to do it, which probably isn't a bad idea, b/c it leaves something in his control, and ensures that the rest of us don't accidentally mess up the main page since that's what everyone sees when they first come here, I mean imagine if we tried posting a new series to the list and accidentally erased half the stuff there w/o realizing it, you came in tommorow and the list was half as big, you might post about it thinking it was an error or you might assume we lost a lot of our series and start looking for a new place, granted that's just the explanation I came up w/ off the top of my head, there might be more to it

The front page is made using HTML not through WordPress. So it's really a whole lot easier when updating it is left up to just one person and since Demon Fox happens to be the owner of the site and has the rest of the files on his PC/server already, it's his responsibility. Every other page can be updated by any staff member with access to the site's control panel.

And Corwin's correct, you can usually view any newly fulfilled requests from any letter's page. Unless someone's slacking and not updating it immediately after adding something.

Good news, Demon Fox has decided to allow access to the source code of the Home Page for most staff. So expect an up-to-date copy of the home page to appear sooner than before.

lol well umm its slightly off but now we have new seris on the home page that havent been added to the letter list such as Rosario + Vampire as an example just thought id let you all know

Yeah, some of the missing series names on either list is the result of all of the work getting piled up before because the staff member it was left up to seems to be quite the busy person lately. If I've missed any others I'd appreciate it if you, or anyone else, would send me a private message about it.

Rosario + Vampire has been added to the letter R's page.
