Commenting with Avatars
At the moment ever registered member in the forum can login to the forum and comment on the main site. Now with the new comment layout you also get an avatar next to your name. To get an avatar you need to register at www.gravatar.com (http://www.gravatar.com) and use the same email address you use here. It will then automatically show the gravatar you upload to use on your comments.

Senior Members
Now as many of you have noticed we have registered users with bold usernames. A senior member is a person who has over 200+ posts and has been active for 24 days+. When you meet these requirements you will automatically be upgraded to the senior member usergroup.

As senior members I have decided you should be given the privilege of helping the site grow by adding anime. Whether you want to help or not is up to you but I thought it be something some of you may be interested in.

So for senior members I have added a new link in the navbar next to Army called Add Anime.

This is what you will see:

I have numbered the important parts of the write post image.

1. Title - You type in the appropriate title for the anime episode here.
2. Post - This is where you put in the copied embed code you gather from a website like megavideo or veoh. Make sure you have clicked the html tab before pasting in code.
3. Category - This is where you select the anime category that the anime episode belongs to.
4. You hit submit here to post the episode so it can be reviewed by staff and approved.

If you want to add a new anime series and its not on our category list tell one of the staff and we will add it for you. Any senior members that show progress it doing this may be asked if they would like to join the staff.

I do hope to see this new function used quite well and other members strive to become senior members.

Any anime you add you should be able to moderate as well, which means if it gets broken you can fix them as well. Once the new layout is up you'll be able to see who posts what, so you can feel special when your username shows up next to all the anime you add.

I wish, they could fix them rather than add new stuff. There is always more work with fixing anime that already is on our site.

Staff are still the same... this is just for anyone who happens to want to sort of make an attempt to help out. Actually no one has done anything so far, and it's not like we are actually expecting anyone that's not staff to have any enthusiasm to do that much.

Yeah. I honestly think this is a bad idea. you shouldn't let people u dont approve of edit videos and stuff. i mean wat if they r pissed at the world one day and deside to delete everything. its just not a smart idea.

I seriously don't know what the issue is with some of you. First senior members can only publish new posts which must be approved by a staff member before there shown on the site. Senior members can only edit there own posts noone elses unlike staff members. This is to prevent a rogue person going through episodes and editing them as they please.

Whats wrong with this new system? It allows animefuel to grow bigger faster with the combined contribution of everyone. Whats the point of having staff members? well clearly there needs to be someone who can approve videos and have the ability to edit any videos to fix broken ones.

Seriously more explanation of your concerns is necessary to bring out a solution

And how other staff members will know that there are videos being added (only added or also fixed??) by Senior members?

hey animex09 i checked out your first one samurai champloo, youve been using the wrong code. you want the video code not the link to the video. Also we already have samurai champloo and any dubbed videos should be put in below the subbed videos to reduce the pages for viewers to look through.

Another thing is... seems like a lot of members (for example Mel or Ino) are little bit confused about this whole concept :/
Read again the Intro. And NO, adding or fixing videos won't harm your computers or get you any viruses *sheesh*.
How about posting a list of streaming sites that are "safe" and easily accessible by the most of users?

I think it was, but you didn't pay enough attention.
Mr. Demon said clearly, that a candidate for a Senior Member must have made 200 posts or more... but more importantly be an active member someone we could rely on.
Making a lot of posts won't make you get the "job".... it's a privilege based on a couple of factors. But the first step is to be an active and dependable member. Subsequently, by fulfilling those requirements and showing your potential, you may earn some credit as well as the STAFF position.

Well if you really want to become staff it is good to be on at least every day. And if this really confuses you that much you really should not worry about it. This might be a little rough because I KNOW MEMBERS DON"T CHECK ON THINGS. Like series and episodes that have already been added. Not to be a jerk or anything but from what I have seen not many members pay attention to things that have already been done.

They are only able to edit(fix) the videos that they add themselves. That is what it means.

Gravatar. You go to http://gravatar.com and make an account, using the email address your account on AF was registered under. Then you upload a picture. When you make a comment on a video, this picture shows up.

Yes you would need to upload to megavideo and then copy the embed code and paste it in a new post.
