If I lost my mind then I wouldn't know what my heart is feeling whether its good or bad...causing me to just act on impulse...yeah i know some people would think up some spiritual reason like "A heart knows what the heart wants...." and often imagine good things when they hear/see the word "heart" like love,happiness,joy,etc but the truth is not everyone has a good heart. That being said...I'd rather keep my mind which allows me reason between the choices i have in life. (sighs)Anyways thats just what I think....no one has to agree with me lol. NiCe ToPiC!!!!!

That may, or may not be true. It depends on who you are and what you believe.

You can lose you mind and still be alive. Ever hear of a psychiatric ward? They've got loads of people who have gone completely bat-shit-bonkers and are still considered "living".

You can also lose you heart (metaphorically speaking) and still go on. Some choose not too, obviously, but that probably has something to do with them being a big whiner.

I feel, it would be impossible to exist without a mind (as independent individual) on the other hand... a broken or lost heart... can always be "repaired." But I might be wrong.

Without a heart, I don't think one would have the will to go on existing, even if they still had a mind. I think that the conscious thought in the mind revolving around the fact that the heart was long dead and gone would wear on one's soul after a while.
