its not really because GCSE is for ages 14-16 and it stands for General Certificate of Secondary Education.

GCSEs aren't physicals, there really big exams that we take over here, they determine what jobs you can get/ universitys you can apply for.
I think theyre the equivalent of a high school diploma...
