How do you smash??!!

For those of you who love Smash Brothers Brawl, I'm sure you have your own favorite characters, and some favorite habit in the game.

How do you smash?
Do you take power and lay the beat down with Koopa, Ike and DonkeyKong?
Do you use the speed of Sonic and Captain Falcon Or Pikachu?
And do you mix items into your stradegy? (Smash balls don't count.)


For me! I am totally a Pikachu user, I have learned to master his every most and to adapt it into my own style. I like to fight on the pokemon stages, but being a long time player since the first game the Hyrule castle stage is a classic for me. I like to use the jump over the stage while doing so I like to use the thunder attack. (The one were Pikachu puts his paws in the air and thunder comes down) It is a powerful attack when the opponents are on the end and good for the flying! I enjoy the speed that Pikachu possesses as it aids to his jump when falling of the cliff

As I also have partake in the some of the most priceless brawl matches...(well in me and others opinions But i think that would be off topic for this thread! :cute:

Personally I rely on the speed and jab of Marth, when I deal with any foe that is hard to keep up with. I like to rely on the counter when I jump into the middle of a group in fight. The upward special is really good for knocking people away as well, and that sword is long enough to knock out traps (I'm normally a speed fighter, but I can't fight with Sonic worth crap)

I using Fox or Wolf. They are good with long range attacks. (Well the fact you can shoot from long range and still do some damage.)

i personally cant use super-speedy characters like fox. i usually end up falling off the stage... >.> i stick with link most of the time cuz i always used him in the first super smash. and i use ike cuz he's really strong and can knock ppl off the stage pretty quick

Link's good to use but he's a bit slow and really hard to get used to for his Brawl version. I rarley use the special attacks for him either.

I use to not really be that good but I kept on practicing and now I am a good brawler. I have been playing since the first one came out. The characters that are really fast (like Sonic...) I find hard to control. Pikachu is fast but not fast to the point they are impossiable to control.

well, i either use, cpt. falcon, rob, or kirby. i use cpt flacon on small courses, rob on flat courses for the laser, and kirby is really good on courses with walls (ie: shadow moses) if you can corner them into a wall, just hold the 'a' buttond and repedeatly punch the guy.

Like it matters that much, he's got a bunch of names, like Great Gruesomeness, Godzilla, Santa Koopa.

I typically use Zelda for her long range and change to sheik for cqc, or I tend to be snake and hide and set mines and shoot the stinger and occasionally go out and deal some real cqc.

i'm a fan of close range combat, I use Ike, Marth and Pit depending on how my opponent plays

i've pretty much mastered those 3 expect i never use the counter on ike and marth and i rarely use the specs on Pit.

other then those faults i've been pretty much unstoppable, when it comes to online play, i have yet to be defeated

Actually he's called Bowser in other countries too...

My main guy is the great Fox McCloud, I've stuck with him since the original Smash Bros on N64, and we work well together.

I use to ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS be pikachu, but then I tried to be someone eles, so I tried Fox and Fox turned out Okay for me and now I always try Wolf, but Pikachu is still my main fighter.

I, OWN as Fox. Take his strong A attacks, combined with hard to avoid special attacks and a reflector, and double that up with being able to circle back and forth around someone while they try to hit you. Then comes the kick....

i've noticed that snake's moveset seems to be stronger then the others, he can KO people exetremely fast and his smash attacks are fatal when they hit...

Snake? Seriously, he's strong but only if you take the time to charge your attack, and then someone can just jump you.

Unfortunately I don't have smash brawl or have played it. *mumbles to self* but i play a lot of smash melee and my favorites are ganondorf (or however you spell it), marth, and captain falcon. so if any of those are in brawl or if their are similar characters then those would be mine.

I've only played it once, but I can't use Sonic for s***.

I personally prefer Ike. I'll use plenty of his smashes, but unless I'm in the air, I won't use his normal attacks much.

Sonic is hard to play as and hard to hit, though I sappose once you get use to using him he can become a strong character to play as.

1)Ganondorf(I love his moves)
2)Wolf(Powerful)
3)Mario(All Around type character, that is why I like him)
4)Marth(Fast..but not too fast)

How is he able to get the smash balls so fast....is it because of Sonic's speed? Or he has just learned to adapt that speed to his style...?


I think some of the smash ball attacks are pretty cool. Pikachu's I was shocked when I saw that. I like Fox/Wolfs/Falco's smash- Land master. Its awesome. Also I think luigi's smash is pretty funny.

It's because he uses his super spring jump and arial down A. He only likes to play with stages that have a large skyline when he uses sonic because only he can reach it easily.

I know what its like! Me, Quiet, his brother (Sometimes) and My brother play all the time and LOL My brother always gets creamed, its fun to see him freack out and throw a temper tantrum Lol my brother is 24. =D so he gets his ass whooped by two 17 year olds and a 19 year old. He whines about it Lol anyway...

I havent been able to play as lucario, I have unlocked but I find it hard to play as him. and I like playing as meta knight sometimes.

Man I love Lucario, I tend to through tamtrums sometimes so.. in turn I simply put the game aside or else I would break it lol. My sister's bf is funny too when he doesn't win, he seriously whines. But it's funny because he sounds like a girl.. it cracks me and my sis up. xD

I like Mr. Game and Watch.

He's the epitome of a glass cannon. He's the second lightest character in SSBB if I recall correctly. Just look at his smashes though. All three of them have power comparable to Ike's smashes but they're all faster as well. Game and Watch also has awesome recovery now that the parachute as used automatically after he uses up-B.

He's all-around a great character. The only weakness he has is that he is fragile.

I use Sonic. Sonic is fast, which I like, and has good follow-up potential. He has his own share of ATs, and I just like his character in general."YOUR TOO SLOW" is the most annoying taunt ever though. But that's what makes it so awesome.

I mostly use Snake, I love how many options and tricks there are with him. I also like throwing every item I come across (he comes with nades so it's even more fun for me). I've found a lot of good tricks with him that never fail, and the variety keeps it from getting boring. :P
