The problems is, I am trying to write a story and I can not get the energy to fix it or finish the darn thing.
I'll open up the word processing program that I use to start typing it but I get distracted by something else that I didnt even have open before. Before you know it, my time on the computor is up and I haven't even typed a word.
Or I'll start typing, get a paragraph done and, BAM!, writer's block hits me like a ton of bricks. Ack.
I do normally enjoy writing; I'm going through a period of procrastination, laziness and lack of inspiration to write.
Does any one have any advice on combatting my problems?
Or can you give me a kick up the bum to get me working again?

At current I am also writing. I've started a novel. Of the vampire/romance variety. Usually I'll write a little bit and get bored... so I do something or go somewheres that gives me some type of inspiration. Usually I'll log on to AF and watch people chat in the chatbox... for some reason that clears my mind up and let me write some more. It isn't easy writing, I would know... I have so many unfinished works because of writers block or distraction or lack of interest.... sometimes just laying down on my bed and closong my eyes even when I'm not tired helps me think up something to write. Writers block sucks.... especially if you love writing as much as I do.

Hey one thing about writing is you don't want to push it. Then it will end up like crap. Just go around doing your thing but look into new subjects for ideas. Right now you don't want to type but you'll see something or dream about something and you'll suddenly become obssesive about your story. Or at least this works for me.

well this an all too common problem that authors have. the same even applies to me, and normal students who have to do essays and stuff. what you should do is take it one step at a time. try to work on one part of the plot or about 1 or 2 pages a day, and use some of the ideas you get from watcing tv, or whatever it is that you do when you slack off..........or you can have your little brother point a taser at you until you finish.

Aww thanks guys ^^
I think I will take your advice ... and take more walks. They always clear my mind and allow me to think about my plot and things. Maybe I will then be able to write something that is good.
@ gunbound15: I don't have a younger brother or a taser. But I do have a very crazy and insane online friend who would gladly threaten anyone into doing anything. LOL.

Try to stay as far from the tool bars as possible.

I'll try to, Monsoon10. Sometimes it is not possible.

Try to concentrate. Put yourself into a solid state of writing, and if you do get distracted have someone remind you what your true purpose was.

It'd be easier to say you've got writers block.

You know you can always "hide" them.

I heard eating the brains of your fallen enemies will give you their knowledge and powers.

@Russkie: I'll to go find me some enemies then. Some very clever ones ...
@Monsoon10: I know that! My point is, I like to check the ramble-o-metre (word count) so that I can tell if I have gone over 5,000 words in a chapter that should be short.
@Kenshy: It's kind of both. One leads in to the other ya see.
@Leerock89: Um, thank you for the suggestion but, no. When one is writing fantasy fiction, sex can not come in to play. Plus I'd be too tired to think afterwards. ;p
@Oblivious: Thank you! I will try that after posting this reply.

Eh, I'll work it off, biking to school and eating an amount of fruit unnatural for a person my age. ;p
At least I'll have more intelligence than I do now.
