So, did you all hear about the scandal singer on the Olympics. The one girl who could sing was not pretty enough so they put her behind the stage and put another girl to lip sing for her. The song that was liped sung was called "Ode to the Motherland" How F#@Ked up is that!!! The official said that the girl who could sing (Yang Peiyi) was not cute enough to be viewed in public. I know China has high standards, but the girl is only 7 years old. I thought she was cute! Who ever the official is odd to be shot for what he did. If they thought this was a problem, then maybe in the begining they should have chosen someone else. If I was the parents of the little girl, I would have pulled her from the stage and said the hell with you and took my child off.

This happens everywhere in America. I've heard countless stories about this and it disgusts me. It seems that only the "good" looking people get all the attention and fame. I mean really, look closely at all the famous people. WTH is up with a 7 year old old not being cute enough. That is just wrong, no matter how you look at it. It's the inside that counts not the outside. Who wants a good looking person piloting a plane when she/he is unable to even fly it without crashing.

basically, and that is not right and it sickens me to know that the worlds cares more about looks than anything else.

This disgusts me. This is what is wrong with the world today. Never mind if the person is intelligent, or has a useful skill, let's put the person who looks the best in charge.

And people wonder why the world is so screwed up these days, pulling stunts like this doesn't help the self-esteem of girls any.

I hate to say this but when she gets older and sees and understands what just happend, this may change her whole outlook on life and her own. She might think well Im ugly so she might turn evil and Im not making fun of this. Im just saying that she may turn against the world for the embarassement she recieved. She may not know it now but she will when she gets older.

maybe she'll grow to be a beautiful swan and everybody will regret the mistake they made not choosing her.
Anyhow, would you still listen to those pop singers if their voices weren't digitally enhanced? most of them just have the look but sing like boys going through puberty.

Wait, the voices were digitally enhanced! I don't really listen to pop songs but I didn't know that. Wow.....

I find this funny, some people are just idiots. It makes you wonder what those people who made the switch are thinking now that poeple know about it.

only problem about yanking the kid off stage is its china your talking about. they don't have much say in anything and the parents probably we're so glad their daughter was singing that they didn't care enough or something like that. and who cares if someone doesn't think your pretty? i'm not that good looking.

yeah it might happen anywhere in the US, but it's not policy to do so is it? we still get some not so good looking people who still manage to make a good living in hollywood. over in china however, the government itself thinks that people must be look perfect or they deserve to be discarded aside. what's worse is that the chinese government is probably threatening the 7-year old girl's family so that they'll say they don't mind. this scandal is gonna have a negative effect on the lives of both girls, and the image of china. but is their freaking government gonna mind or even notice? probably not, those dang commies. :ramen:

I find that to be really stupid. Others have no right to conceal another's face.
