Ever do something that seemed like a reasonable, rational, and sound idea when you conceived it, only to have it turn out to be not quite as inspired as you would have hoped?

My most recent? The other day I found these Country Time On the Go mixes, designed to be put in bottled water to make Lemonade.

A few years back, Pepsi had Pepsi with a Twist, which my brother thoroughly loved. But they don't make it anymore (or at least, they don't sell it here).
He was asking about it, so I thought, "Hey, I'll put the lemonade powder in the Pepsi for the same great flavor."

Until, that is, I poured the lemonade powder into the Pepsi. Ever see those vids where they throw mentos into soda? Same thing.

Well, it's true that idea would have been better, but think about this. What if you didn't have lemons at your house? And maybe the store doesn't have any in stock. To me, the idea of pouring the powder into the Pepsi, sounded like a really good idea, until I got to the last line.

I have had many of these kind of situations. My most recent was at a pool, dun dun dun. Okay, so this was a public pool, so there was a ton of people there, and I thought it would be a great idea to do a nice big flip off the diving board. Of course, now that sounds nice since I know what I was doing...Somewhat. lol So, some random person got just about right under me when I was in the air, and I landed on them. It was fun though. 8D

Haha poor ariya lol. I think it was a great idea bc I mean lemon juice isnt sweet like the powder is so it wouldn't have tasted the same as pepsi twist. But I feel bad for you lol simply bc I do this sort of thing ALL the time hah.

For example,
I really love Janis Joplin and when I listen to her music I am just in the best and most chill mood. So when I got my first car, I was pumped bc I love listening to music really loud in the car. Obviously this is hard to do in someone elses vehicle (ex. a parent lol) so I couldnt wait to drive it and blast some Janis. lol you know.

So I was driving it one day to my dads real quick to get my phone charger and I was blasting Janis (duh)....and well I just didnt see the stop light. Like I dont even remember what happened,... next thing I know Im jumping out of my car like "Im sorry im so sorry".
Ya I didnt even put it in park lol.

Long story short, I hit a DRIVING INSTRUCTOR. Of all the people in the world I could've possibly hit in my very first car accident, I had to hit a driving instructors brand new truck. Lol and he recommended me for remidial driving school. Ya that was more fun than I should've ever been allowed to have.

It seemed like driving around blasting distracting music would be fun when I thought about it in my head. Ya not so much in real life... ( ;

Yeah, I've had moments like that. For some reason my brother and I thought it would be a good idea to butt heads like rams in order to knock one of my teeth out.
The thing was that I was little and had a loose tooth. So we literally did what I said above. Yes, I lost that tooth that way.(I spit it out after the 7th headbutt.) But at the same time we banged each other up pretty bad.

My brother had a raging headache for 2 days and I got blood all over the rug, which did not please my mother.

Me and my friend Nicky were stayin in this hotel where this weird convention thing was taking place. It was 2 in the morn and we thought it would be a good idea to sneak into the hotels kitchen and steal a snack. so after searching for ages we found the kitchen, but as soon as we opened the door we found the hotel's chiefs in there playing strip poker!

This can easily be described as the most awkward moment in my life =]

At the pool, my old neighbor [also my sister's best friend] and I had a race, and I thought it

I wouldn't be as much surprised by the SODA, though... one of those things... that at first people think is a great idea, while they are still very EXCITED and HYPER about, is.... marrying other people. Whenever people do it when they are waaay too young, or when they don't really know each other, or when they do it in rush... or when they are overly happy by just the "idea" of doing so, or if they are mentally not mature enough to realize it is a bad idea...... and so on... for other reasons. And then when it turns out not to be as they've "dreamed", "hoped" or "imagined"... --- it's a real drama.


btw. Pepsi Twist is still being sold...... in Europe ; )

I've done orange juice and apple juice before (seperate occasions) and both failed in my opinion. my brother got into the orange juice and corn flakes for a while. we never had much pop in the house so I guess it was lack of opportunity that prevented that mess for me.

OMG Ariya now I wanna do it too....rarely does stuff like that ever happen to me... hmmmm oh yea I walked home we these ppl I knew for like 3 days from school. They asked me if I could walk them home first. So I`m walkin it` s all cool, we get to the girls house and it` s dark....I`m going to get killed when I get home. So the boy says let` s take a short cut. OMFG he tried to kill me. We went through a freakin forest thingy and had to climb a gate. the bushes started freakin rattling & that dummy says don` t worry it` s just a coyote. So I hopped the fence and ended up hanging upside down by my cute little boot strings (tie up boots) yellin it` s got me.....LMAO....so I finally got down and we` re walkin in the middle of freakin nowhere. there` s this small creepy station and a man in the back of his pick up truck. And what does the dummy say "My friend over here would like to join you" I had to shove him halfway away. Then he takes me through a creepy empty truck station. We left the school at 4 now it` s way past 9 and I don` t know where the hell I am. So I finally get home....offer the dummy a glass of water... I go in first.....my mom` s like WTF about to kick my @$$. I walk back out & here & my sis follow me. As soon as she saw the boy she turns into Mother Theresa and my sisters al like he`s fiiiiiiiiiine he`s fiiiiiiiiiine!!!!! Never will I walk with that dummy again.....:dizzy:

I have done plenty of things that seemed perfectly inteligent at the time and some that didn't. One momment was when I was babysitting and got hungry. The lady did not have anything edible or cookable anywere except eggs. I'm kinda lazy so I got the bright idea that if I boiled the eggs in the microwave it would get done faster. Well I put three in it for a few minutes, and just as I open the door at the end of the time they exploded. Hot egg shards flew hitting my face and upper body along with everything around me. I was so surprised that I didn't feel the burning for a few seconds, but that didnt last long as I had to jump around and picking all the burning hot bits of egg off of me. All the noise I was creating had attracted the attention of the two girls i was watching and the maid( who had just finished cleaning the kitchen). The girls started screaming and jumping around slapping them selves like I was, and the maid just stared as if I was crazy.

every time I do backflips into pools or other deep waters of swimming. They're so much fun, but I always float to the top holding my crotch in agony. I really should know better every time I turn my back to the water.

stuff like that has happened to me a lot but if you ask me about them or I try to think about them I honestly can't remember (except for one of my most embarrassing moments). my mind just forgets them until I try to do it again then it tells me it's bad.
anyway the only one I remember was in my first year of high school (5 years ago), at the first break I was thirsty so I decided to buy a two litre bottle of Irn Bru and drink it all, so I did, now I carry on my day as normal till my second last class of the day I ask to go to the toilet but was refused, then before going to my last class I go to the toilet but the doors was locked (the toilet doors are locked at class time to attempt to stop vandalism), as soon as I get to my class I ask to go to the toilet but was refused again and by this time I can't even stand still, so I run out the class room to the toilet but it's locked and they won't give me the key since I don't have the card the teacher gives you to go to the toilet. So i just gave up went out side and did what seemed like the best pee in my life in front of at least two classes in the middle of PE and one class that was doing some sort of experiment. Still could be worse, I could have wet myself in class.
That's really three things that seem like a good idea drinking a two litre bottle in 15 mins, locking the toilet doors and peeing outside when you can't get in the toilet.

I did something similar once. I mixed Pepsi, Moutain Dew, and Dr. Pepper.

i would have probably done something similar so thanxs for the tip ariya. hmm you could make lame pop bombs out of those if you made a contraption that allowed you to make a grenade with all the same "mechanics" of a grenade, aka pull something so the lemonade powder falls in a goes boom.
