my favorite anime theme would be anything to do with mecha

i just love giant mechas fighting

My favorite would have to be animes based around fighting like in baki the grppler and in DBZ pure fist to fist fights. And BECK (music)

I would guess Super Robots (such as GaoGaiGar or Combattler V), where they transform/combine, have over-the-top named finishing moves, and/or tend to feature battle themes with a deep-voiced Japanese guy singing about courage and love, etc.

I'm not quite as fond of Military/Realistic Mecha themes, like in Full Metal Panic and typical Gundams.

Currently my favorite anime theme would have to be...no theme...-I like Slice Of Life animes like Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star that are so random it hurts...so if Randomness is a theme that's it I guess...

Hentai if it is a theme. Ecchi, action, romance/drama, adventure, and supernatural. Basically, almost every theme.

Koopa, theme and genre are pretty close together. All genres are also themes. And most themes are genres as well.

I love an anime which concentrates on the growth of self-knowledge in a character who is at sea in his/her emotional responses to life. I like it to be set in a world of Fantasy, Science-Fiction or the Supernatural. An examplw of an anime which meets those requirements would be the first story arc of 12 Kingdoms. Fruits basket covers those areas too.

My favorite themes/genres would have to be Drama, Supernatral, Romance, Suspense, and Horror. Especially in the type of anime showing the struggles of the main character with amnesia trying to remember his/her past while gaining or losing friends and defeating insanely powerful foes.

I'd like a space exploration sort of deal with countless races and galaxies to see. It's sort of at a standpoint when it's still a bit of a "new thing". If this sounds a lot like Mass Effect it's because that's what I think about.

Definitely with a suspenseful storyline with deeply made characters. Romance is a must!

it may seem like blasphemy to you guys, but I'm a little tired of mecha battles and improbably powerful schoolgirls... no, animes that think of an original theme almost always turn out so much better, like airgear, witchblade, S-Cry-Ed, and eureka 7. now originality is not an excuse for mediocrity, but when an original theme is pulled off it is just awesome:dancing:
