I'm currently playing the original FF2 for SNES(FF4) and I gotta say it is heartbreaking...and the music just capitalizes on the sad moments...

Final Fantasy 7. Still one of the best games I've played, who needs graphics and crazy extras when there is a game with such an amazing story line.

saddest game i ever played was japanese it was school days
the endings were all decided by how well u played and the choices u made
i always had a bad ending and the worst ending was when kotonoha died she jus fell headfirst off the building so sad

Final Fantasy VII, I played the game for the sixth time and I still felt sad when Aeris died! :(
Crisis Core was sad too, Zack was so cool!

i was really upset with halo 3's ending until i say the video clip after the credits. still sad but i can live with that ending.

Im gonna have to say FFX for the mere fact some of the best people are gone when the game hit the credits. True one come back the next game but some of the best fighters are already dead when the game start!!!
