Well, for the past like 2 years, I was constantly playing WC3 Frozen Throne, and it ruined my life. I was a straight A student, and had no problems, the best tennis player in our school, and now I struggle to get A's, and barely make the team. I recently quit, but any advice to make sure I dont play again? I have made it about 4 days without playing, but sad as this sounds, I have had multiple dreams with me playing, which frightens me a bit. I dont trust me will power all that much, I am usually pretty strong willed but...when it comes to this...
Any tips on staying of the CD?

Um.... You're addicting to the online connection to the actual rts classic, instead of the RPG?

That's a new kind of addiction. But seriously, if you're addicted to THAT of all things, then it should be as easy as saying to yourself, ONLY ONE GAME!!! And remind yourself, if you play more than one, you cause yourself problems.

I still can't get over a non-RPG gaming addiction...

I had a friend addicted to wow,he managed to quit at last :D,cuz he decided to be strong and fight it,
Aka he finaly understood he was addicted, many addicts wount admit it, so just admitting it is a step in the right direction:D,
Its like with every addiction either ur stuck, it goes away after some time ,or you replace it with something new:O,
Or you have to do something.
My best tip is to try to do anything but play WC3, Whenever you feel like doing it ,run around for an hour or switch the tv on, Anything but playing WC3to get your mind focused on something else.^^

GL btw::D:

Actually, first off, I was addicted to a custom game on WC3, it is called DOTA
Anyway, the other thing is I did substitute it with something...THIS!
Actually, I started watching Full Metal Alchemist to ease WC3 out of my life
Thanks for the help btw.

I was gonna say break it and burn it, but going sousuke's route you get a little money out of the deal....less satisfaction tho...

That's pretty sad, why couldn't you addict yourself to a good RTS like Starcraft.

hmmm ... that's not good if ur addicted to games that brings ur grades down and not make it to a team ...
u play tennis ... so my tip would be go to the tennis court at least 4-5 times a week and practice tennis ... and for studying ... shutdown ur computer completely and just go into a room that's quiet and empty w/o computers or games anywhere and open a book and start reading or study ... even if u fall asleep during studying in a room with nothing fun around u ... at least ur avoiding games ... or maybe go out and hang with ur friends or family instead of staying home and playing games all the time ...

Get rid of anything and everything that reminds you of it, and then use something else to occupy yourself when you start wanting to play the thing. Trust me on this, it works.

You have to find yourself a girl mate > . >

that is so totally true, nothing distracts you more than a hot girl who's always saying "honey go buy me something, honey talk to me, honey let's go to the...." but other than that, i would suggest throwing the game away or find some really addictive way of learning or exercise (that's impossible by the way). you can also try only playing that game on a labtop at the library until the battery runs out. try to leave the recharger at home. :ramen:
good luck and may you quit smoking.

Why didn't you just give her the damn disk, kill two birds with one stone.

Destroy the disk. Get away from the computer, and stay away from anything that is associated with Warcraft.
