Well this has been something I have never wanted to do but in the current situation I have no choice.

As many of you know the site has been running slow at times. Now this has been a big issue with staff as the admin panel we use to add and fix anime continues to freeze or play up. Preventing us on providing you guys with anime as fast as possible on a daily basis.

The main reason for the slow site recently has been the huge amounts of hits we get everyday. That's not a bad thing. We have naturally grow too big for our current server and need to upgrade to something more beastly. I have talked to our hosting provider and have planned the best possible server for AnimeFuel.

The specs are provided below for anyone that's interested:

Dual Xeon E5410 Harpertown 2.33Ghz (oct(8)-core/64bit support)
4GB RAM (Capable of 16-32GB)
2x 36.7GB 15000 RPM SAS
100Mbit port - full duplex Unmetered transfer

The cost are:
$700 setup fee + $299 per month

We need this by the end of August however the sooner we get it the sooner we're on the new server.

If we can get the intial cost of $999 paid for the first month our ads plus my own money should be able to cover it every month after that.

Oh my bad, if you have paypal or credit card you can donate by clicking the donate button and filling out the information.

Pay Pal is one of the best secure ways to purchase anything online, or in this case to donate. I think all you need is a bank account for Pay Pal.

I believe, if we don't get enough money for the new server, the site will go down until DF has enough money for the new server.

I would donate, but, as I don't have a credit card, and my Mother doesn't feel like using her's (lol), I sadly can't donate. =/

Well this is a better server than anything you have ever seen in your entire life. Servers on big sites like Google and Youtube, cost OVER 1 MILLION DOLLARS A DAY to maintain. THOSE ARE HOST SERVERS. So that trumps your little theory right there. And the other anime sites that may be more popular than this one don't have servers as good as us. Why don't you think they have as much anime as us, as big of a community as us, and way way way way way more ads than us? How do you know they don't share servers, and therefore pay less? This site has its own dedicated server. You don't have to donate if you don't want to, and making comments like these is unnecessary. But I'm glad I've set you straight now, because what do you know, anyways? Don't assume things.
