I think Obama is best for the U.S. From what I have gathered McCain is four more years of Bush. We need change, not old fart conservatives sitting around and doing nothing. If the legislation we have is working so well, then why is our economy in the crapper? I'm just putting my two cents in, which by the way, used to be a dollar.
Well I do not know I am pretty dumb when politics are involed so :p

I personally do not like either.
My guy, Fred Thompson, dropped out of the race, so now I'm just like "Okay, NOW what?" at the moment.
All though, if McCain chooses a good VP, like Bobby Jindal, or Sarah Palin. Bobby Jindal isn't going to accept it, but damn. He would be a great VP, even a great President. He's really smart, and young. He's got potential.
Now, maybe if Obama wasn't into global warming--which is complete nonsense--and wasn't against oil drilling, and wasn't going to try and power cars with wind power and all this stupid stuff that RUINS THE ECONOMY, then MAYBE just MAYBE I'd go with him.

Ok so this one... lets begin with the taxing. First off Obama, if he became president, would start to tax the living crap out of us. Then again what democrat hasn't done that before. McCain would, like any republican, start throwing money at the people to keep them happy, and who doesn't like free money(stimulus checks!!! Yippy!!!).
For economics I think we need Obama here. He would start to concentrate on the country itself then abroad like Bush has been doing. He can start to clean it up a bit, work on the home slump, work with wall street to bring it back before we actually hit a major depression again. McCain on the other hand, would hand out free money to Americans, America doesn't have to give away, hopeing that if he gives money that doesn't exist the economy would get better(Bush did this...I don't see an improvement...).
For homeland security and worldly matter of course we need a republican. They like to walk over everyone and threaten sanctions and UN blah blah fears around to get what we want... well I take that back, Bush did a horrible job cause he's just a strong headed idiot... hopefully McCain would do better and has a better plan.
The real question should be which group are you going to choose, the donkey or the elephant? Which way do you go left or right? For me I say hang them all and give back the power to the people. The only problem with that is not enough cares. Remember the amount of Americans that actually went to vote last election?? Horribly low. People just aren't being stimulated enough to care. Soon we're going to get so lazy "When in Rome", is actually going to be VERY real. Fear the inaction, fear the words with no action, fear the control.

that is very extremely true.
Puppet shows are fun to watch.
you'd better hope that you get taxed to sh*t. Apparently every financial expert is pooing their pants for fear of a severe nose dive in the economic world. but that's what happens when people don't like taxes and like when money gets thrown at random things. yay money!

I have no idea what an ass-hat is but I totally agree. The problem is you have to choose so just choose the lesser evil. Oh and the smarter one would be nice...please don't vote for a fu*ken idiot like Bush... like look at what he did to the US. We really don't need another dipshit for brains again.

I think Obama is the best choice in this election.
I am a Democrat, and as I agree with most of the parties policies, I have to vote for the person who represents what I believe in the most.
Economically, McCain has come out and flat out said, he knows next to nothing about Economic issues, which scares me, since well that is a major part of being President. His plan to lower taxes and continue spending is just going to keep on adding up the debt. His economic policies are a mirror image of George Bush's and for a guy who took our surplus and converted it into what a billion or so dollar debt? I dont trust anyone with the same policies. Obama's economics is actually good, most people just will say taxes are bad and end it at that. But in the end that is what we need, so we can slowly start reducing this huge debt. And with that, he is also cutting spending, yes he will use some of the money to fund welfare, but...that is a small amount compared to money we will be saving.
Foreign Policy wise, McCain will keep the same exact policy as Bush, ruling the world with fear. The fact Obama is ready to meet with the leaders of countries that pose a threat, signals to me, that diplomacy will be more involved, which means terrorism will stop. I have said it before, terrorism will not die by bomb/missle/gunshot, but by diplomacy, the last 20 years have proven to this country, that some people are incorruptible and will do anything for their cause. So recklessly attacking other country, is only fuel to the fiire. To destroy terrorism, we need a President who can make diplomatic resolutions, which will only calm the anger of the terrorists. Not to mention, over Europe, people see Obama as a person of change in Foreign Policy which makes them happy, because most people abroad HATE the current policy.
Social Issues, I believe that everyone has a right to be married, and it isnt anyone elses buisness to interfere with that. The big argument against it, is that it is immoral, and banned due to the Bibal, which makes me say again, like Washington and the Founding Fathers did, was to make sure their was a seperation of Church and State. As for Abortion, it is the family's choice, and if it isnt legal people are just going to do it illegally, best plan is to put a tax on it so we that can help reduce our debt. Not to mention, the fact that mothers who do it illegally, are in much more danger, and if they dont get an abortion and the baby is born into a family that doesnt want it, many bad things can happen. On immigration, I believe Amnesty with a small money penalty is the best, a penalty that is properly set using minimal wage.
1 quick point, to solve human rights problems and all that, we should really consider the option of aiding NGO's like the AU, African Union, which has done a fairly good job in Darfur, even with their financial troubles, if we send them some aid, a lot of differance can be made
So far we have a debt of over 4 trillion

i wish that were true, but do you really think that people who have been steadfast racists for all of their lives are all suddenly going to have an epiphany when obama is in office and vow to change their racist ways? racism will persist for many many more long years in this country; a black president is not going to change that.

The fact is unless you really change the kids opinions young, then racism will always exist. These sort of things tend to be passed down by generation. Now where as I dont agree with Blacks being racist, I do kind of understand their situation. Thing about it, they were enslaved for a long time, then till the 70 or so, they were discriminated against in public. Heck, even now, they are discriminated against, all they got was a sorry, that doesnt make up for the hundreds of years of pain and suffering.

im not saying blaks are racist, im simply stating that with obama in office,(maybe racism wont stop)but it will come out to the open a little more and there wont be much to do about it but let it die down on its own after a while...i dont know if im making myself clear. sorry if im not making any sense:oo:

If I wanted to live in a government with an iron fist, that government would be controlled by ME... Not some amature.

I agree with Athrun. Obama will end the war that we are currently engaged in. He will also help with the energy crises that we are at stake with. Yes Oil is important but we need to face other ways of producing energy like wind and solar. Yes it cost a lot but in the long run it willl pay off. We dont need another Bush and chenny skeeming on ways to make there wallets fuller

he refuses to wear the American flag pin, that the candidates wear because and i quote " i dont want to take sides in the war on terror"
WTF he doesn't want to take his country's side over terrorists...
any man who says that doesn't deserve to be president.
id elect a president with downs over his ass... patriotic my azz

"I haven't been making such a big deal about it. Others have. Sometimes I wear it, sometimes I don't," Obama said. "We were talking with a group of veterans yesterday. Over the last several weeks people have been handing me flag pins. I thought it was appropriate." Asked if he will continue to wear the pin, Obama said, "If it ends up being on another suit, I might leave it one day, but it's something that I've done before and I'll certainly wear it again."

Now if you think about it, they both suck. I mean really they do, but i guess anyone is better than Bush.
If i had to decide though i would have to go for Obama, he seems to be a more logical and less senile man. I won't go anymore than that since its a waste to argue whats out of our hands.
