Do you believe in aliens?

What are you guys' opinions on this topic? Do you think aliens exist, or not? Explain your reasoning. I personally think aliens could exist, if not in our galaxy, than certainly in another possibly distant one.

EDIT: and by aliens, I mean extra terrestrials. Not foreign people koopa. -_-

Out off all the stars and planets of the universe, the odds that there is another planet exactly like Earth are staggering. The chances that the planet Earth is merely an anomaly, and that life is not meant to exist in the universe, are incredibly small. Somewhere out there, there has to be life. It's currently impossible for us to explore the entire universe, so we can't rule it out, not by a long shot.

took the words right out of my mouth. the unlikelihood of life on our own planet is huge, but the notion that it is the only sentient life in the entire UNIVERSE is only found in one arm of one galaxy, in one solar system, on one planet... that is much more absurd.

besides, aliens have already contacted us. there's already proof of their existence. if only the government weren't so afraid to release the information...

i agree down to the last detail. if there is a planet that beholds even one plant or bacteria, this would be considered a life form...so, yes i blieve in aliens even if its just a plant.

To be honest, if we had a ship that could travel the stars and last for several years with out stopping for supplies even though its possible that you may perish, I would go for it. We do not know the extent of our universe.
The pictures our deep space probes have taken are from like thousands/millions of years ago. (due to light speed and such)
So yeah even photos aren't real proof, as life could have evolved in time and such.
Also because of the size of our universe the chances are that there is another planet with the right condidtions for life.
so yes i do believe in aliens.
but that doesn't mean they are going to come eat us.
because there is the possibility that they have just as much or even less technology than us :D
