What is your favorite anime?

I have to say that my absolute, favorite anime is Air Gear. The main reason for this is because I generally look for anime that are whatever the exact opposite of "cliche" would be.

Thats actually because, although black cat Isn't my absolute favorite, I find a lot in common between myself and Train Heartnet. That and I think assassins (and even more so former assassins) are awesome.

By the way, Outlaw Star is an awesome anime as well. I mean, wow, I watched it when I was 9.

It is hard to say what my favorite is... I got started on Inuyasha, and since then my favs have been Blood + , Claymore and Kaze no stigma ( which reminds me alot of inuyasha) I am in the middle of Black cat right now which is interesting. Can anyone recommend what I should watch next based on what I have watched so far. I like them to have a serious element but also have a fun side. And of course a love story is always good. :)

Wolf's Rain was good also apart from the ending, Ranma ½'s final episode left things wide open, but you can read the rest from the manga. My favorites so far are probably Full Metal Alchemist, Outlaw Star, Gundam Wing, Neon Genesis Evangelion (really, really weird, but I am a sucker for beserk giant robots), Bleach, Naruto/Shippuden (Shippuden moves way to slow, 4-5 episodes of watching Naruto and Kakashi talk and jump from trees that grew out of a rock wall almost drove me crazy). I don't know that I could pick a number one favorite because I love certain animes for certain reasons and, as such, it is unfair to try and compare them in a set mold to determine one favorite. However, I can say some that I hold dear in my heart.

For one Macross (and the American hodgepodge it spawned when they combined it with Southern Cross and Genesis Climber (which I also love those two as well) Robotech)
The Universal Century Gundam series are always high on the list as well as Gundam Wing (1=2 Fangirl here >_>), and a few other Alternate Universe series that I have seen (I haven't seen all of Seed or Seed Destiny to form an opinion). Cowboy Bebop is high up there as well. Akira. Peacemaker. Naruto. Bleach. Death Note. Hikaru No Go. Go Lions (and the American version Voltron). Ninja Scroll. Those Who Hunt Elves. Onegai! Teacher. Record of Lodoss War. Escaflowne. Rurouni Kenshin. Iria: Zeriam the animation. Appleseed. Spirited Away. More probably but I can't really think at the moment.

Since my first post is was a long time ago and my opinion changes rather rapidly, I now also have issues with choosing only one anime. All I can really say is that now it lies among these.

YuYu Hakusho is by far my favorite. It's a decent lengthed anime with a great story that just gets darker as it continues. Yusuke is awesome as the anti-hero char, I love his attitude. Also, the Eng dubbing is by far one of the best ever done with alot of it's own unique VAs.

Whoa! Rurouni Kenshin!? Now that's one I wont soon forget!XD I liked it quite a bit. I'm drawn to a lot of the older-era animes. (Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto and Samurai Champloo are a couple of others that just ran through my head too.)

It is hard to say what my favorite is... I got started on Inuyasha, and since then my favs have been Blood + , Claymore and Kaze no stigma ( which reminds me alot of inuyasha) I am in the middle of Black cat right now which is interesting. Can anyone recommend what I should watch next based on what I have watched so far. I like them to have a serious element but also have a fun side. And of course a love story is always good. :)

u should watch gto if u want comedy and eureka 7 if u want an awkard love story and mecha action i also reccomend bleach::D:

Rah Xephon was really really close to what Neon Genesis Evangelion was. In my eyes i think that anime was a rip off but i still liked it.

All anime is nice but my favorite anime is got to be Detective Conan because it's very interesting especially on the ways how the victim was murdered and who is the suspect. Sometimes i can guess who is the suspect but mostly i can't that's why i really like it. Maybe there are people who don't like it but to those who like mysteries and want to become detectives in the future, i recommend this anime. This will surely test your deduction skills!!!:cute:
