Well I was just wondering what you guys here think has it tougher.

Males or Females.

And why?

Ariya

You know, I actually think males have it harder.

They have to deal with us females.

There's a really funny email my brother showed me yesterday. I'll see if I can get it from him. It's kind of about this.

EDIT: Found it~

Dear Tech Support:

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources.

In addition, Wife 1.0installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activities, such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0, Going To The Pub 7.5, and Softball 3.6

I can't seem to keep Wife1.0 in the background while attempting to run my other favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0 , but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0.

Please help!

Thanks,
Troubled User.....

Dear Troubled User:

This is a very common problem that men often complain about.

Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0 . It is impossible to uninstall, or purge, the program files from the system once installed..

You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings: Alimony-Child Support . I recommend that you keep Wife 1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application Yes Dear 2.7 to alleviate your program problems.

The best course of action is to enter the command < B>C:\APOLOGIZE!
because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway.

Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance!
Wife 1.0 does come with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5, and DoBills 4.2

However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will
cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5 Once this happens,
the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0

WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3 . This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system!

Best of luck,
Tech Support

Ariya,
OMG... this was sooo.. hilarious!!!! LOL

MagicBird,
I think your poll is missing at least one or two options like: neither/or both..... because being either a female or male... brings different difficulties and problems. Life isn't easier to any of us. Though, man certainly have a different mentality, which often "helps them" survive or... should I say... ignore/ be indifferent.. in many tough life situations.

As a male there are things that are way easier for us. Such as sports, eating like pigs, drinking like wales, politics, even orgasms. But there are some things that are way harder for us such as finding a girlfriend, expressing our emotions and all that mushy stuff. I have no answer for this other then I'm human and all I want is CHEESE!!!

I think that females have it much, much harder than men. For many reasons. Well, to start off, even though Women's suffrage and whatnot ended long ago, women are still discriminated against even today. They continue to play second fiddle to their male peers. Look in fields like sports and politics. Females also have some sort of unwritten "code" that dignifies how they are supposed to act, because it's not accepted as being womanly. (i.e doing "tomboyish" type things). Women are subjected to things like being stalked, raped, and sexually abused. (of course so are males but to a lesser degree). Women have to care more about their image than men, lest they be deemed "unfashionable" (gasp!). Females are also expected to pretty much shave their entire bodies too. Also, a huge thing women have it tough with? Childbirth. I think that is such a harrowing experience for any female. It's like the equivalent of crapping out a football. It seems... so... painful... Something else? Menstruation. THEY BLEED OUT OF THEIR CROTCH EVERY MONTH! Tell me how that isn't worth some sort of medal. And one last thing... Boobs. I love boobs. But females have to put up with them EVERY SINGLE DAY, 24 Hours a Day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!! Even I couldn't end up dealing with continuous exposure to boobs for that long, especially if they were attached to me... and everyone always stared at them...

So long story short... I bow to the females... They truly have it hard.

I mean... what do men have to deal with... the only thing that comes to mind are random erections. And excess body hair. Oh yes, and women.

But everything you mentioned above, in fact, is very true. And thank you Koopa for being one of those few people who think wisely, feel deeply.... you can see more than others.

Both have it just as tough but in different ways, it is true women may not fit in doing so called "tom boy" stuff, but same goes for men not fitting in, in a more "womanly" setting, men also have to worry about there image to, although many don't. men try to appeal to the woman just as they do for us, also from what iv seen, a decent looking girl can get just about anything she wants from a guy, even a job. thats not true for men in most cases.
or how girls can mistreat guys or guys can mistreat girls and it is looked on completely different, like if a girl hits a guy and people see people may think something like, "wonder what he did to make her mad, what an ass he is"
but if a guy hits a girl its more like, "What an ass someone call the police!"

not saying either is right, because it is not!

i just think we all have it hard but in different ways.

I believe I've already answered this question on Magicbird's profile, but I may as well answer it here.

My answer is, female. Why? Because at least around where I am, the only thing that goes on with guys (including myself, no I'm not excluding myself from this post), is nothing. We really don't have to put up with anything. The females around here, from the age of 14+, is not only guys (and I admit, I am one of them. I hardly do this anymore though) drooling over them. Yes, every guy I know will go outside, sit somewhere, wait for a girl even older them him by many years, and drool over her. Also, every female I know around here also care so much about what they look like, while the guys I know (including myself), really don't give a shit about what we wear or look like. So yeah, females have it rough imo.

i believe both are equivelent.
at first i thought females have it harder
now how ever as i read opinions
my mind has changed by saying that females harder
it makes it true. why?
because it makes men pity women for having it harder
which in turn makes women looked down upon
in turn they want to prove them themselves

if i say men have it harder
then men in turn will have it harder
(especially me) because even though most dont show it
we do think about these things
thus it makes men feel inferior
because men trust their own judgement
over others even loved ones
thus i dont want to do anything
so then there

I think women have it tougher. All that discrimination on work, and "you must look like a model everyday", the painful childbearing etc. etc. it really is a pain in the *bottom*.

But men have to deal with the hiormones every month and the ultimate test for their tolerance. The nine-month-pregnancy horror.

So... I think it's close to a draw.

One word: Childbirth.
Second word: Menstruation.

We win.

However, i wouldnt trade my nice girly body with all the soft curvy bits for the world. We are just prettier. And we have breasts. Not to mention we are subtler and cleverer and did i mention the breasts and nice body?

We have it socially harder too, with so many expectation, stereotypes and impositions. But we cant have it all... However, iwouldnt like to be a guy and go out with girls - i find we talk to much.

I guess you've never been to college and seen girls walking in decrepid pjs and socks with sandles trying to drag their unwashed ass to class. that's worse than sweatpants if you ask me.

and unknown while you're on the topic of choice, throw in the childbirth thing. Girls, it's not you obligation to birth children for some dude. menstruation I can more than give to you, nothing can be done about that. but if I hear another girl whine about childbirth when they've never experienced it themselves. gawd. There's potential for me to get a giant bag full of nails stuck in my bumbum, and then have to have them removed (note the word potential) and that'd hurt way more than your football. when you have a kid, you win. until then don't get hurt and keep it to yourself.

Oh but it is. Biologically speaking, to fullfill our natural purpose we have to go through immense pain and other unpleasantries. For men to secure their genetic reproduction its all fun and games but for us... phew... It overshadows our entire existance and we cant really escape it - note how childless women are pitied by society.

i'm in koopaking's boat for this one. most of the posts have been focusing on the cosmetic excesses that many women consider the norm and thus hold themselves up to it. personally i believe the portrayal of beauty in our culture has been grossly exaggerated, but those who adhere and mimic it do so at their own will.

there are extenuating circumstances that make it much harder to be a woman than a man. the things that cannot be helped physically (like menstruation and menapause) and socially (the legacy of sexism shown in wages, rape, social standing, gender expectations) are roadblocks in the path of womanhood that make it harder to bare.

Oblivious

I think that Women lead the tougher life.

As it has been said in previous posts, the process of a woman's pain is indeed what I would see to be very painful.

What I don't understand is why [most] girls/women are so sensitive to pressure. I wish and hope that women will someday grow stronger mentally and physically. Stand up against those perverted guys.

Then again, all the guys have one major weak point. That weak point stays with them 'til the day they die, and all girls can use it to their advantage. Having a baby is only a one-time thing..

Definitely us females. For so many reasons. Even though we're in the 21st century, there's still sexism around and discrimination against women. Many men - and I'm saying all men thinkt this way - believe that womens' place is at home, doing the housechores. I don't agree for a second with them.

Women are more prone to sexual harassment than men. Either at work or at school. Not to mention we have to take good care our image. Oh, and also about periods and pregnancy.

So, I totally know women have it alot tougher than men.

Oh yes, and women.

well koopa already took about everything i was going to say so this sucks, well i guess i have nothing else to say :hands:

I agree Koopaking pretty much summed it all up for us females. Males can have it hard dealing with us, but hey females definately have a much harder time with life.

You missed my point. I shout this because you just revived a dead thread.

Or was it the other guy?

Many valid points have been given thus far, so I'll only throw out my vote for women.

I would say that, it neither one or the other.. both men and women have their share of problems.. and how do we define them, by both they're struggles and successes! Along side women, not only have their share really tough times and painful surprises, men also share a similar situation.. so there is no real way to clarifly if one is more difficult then the other.. however what i can say that everyone is different and for many people who have it hard with one thing, another may not have such difficulty.. sorry everyone, there is no real answer for this question!

Ouch....

True... But even though men are called lazy, we still are the first choice when it comes to HEAVY labor... and all that girls will do is "plan" things inside a nice cozy office, while the guys sweat it outside...

please don't stereotype every woman. my stepmom is an operating engineer and my stepsister is a mechanic. i do quite a bit of heavy lifting and physical labor as well, as do several other girls I know.

You know, I actually think males have it harder.

They have to deal with us females.

There's a really funny email my brother showed me yesterday. I'll see if I can get it from him. It's kind of about this.

EDIT: Found it~

hahaha! that was funnie. i loved it. but personally i believe us females have it harder. well at least in my culture we do, but anyways back to the topic, yes females have it harder because we are always picking up after others, especially family like kids, and of course the men. also that we also have to go through the procedure of birth, and the guys don't. females have to house work, but i agree that men also help, and we appreciate that. also with the cooking. but in away i agree with you also. but this is my personal thinking only, so guys don't get offended or whatever. this is from my experience as a female.

i guess females .. because even in our days there are still people that think that females are below males ... and that the place for us is at home cooking ( so wrong)......

I've thought about this a lot. I think females have it just a little bit tougher. guys can put on jeans, a shirt, put gel in their hair and they are done. many girls need to brush it for 30 minutes, put on some make-up etc etc.
buuuuut... this migh sound a little old-fashioned, but I think guys should make the first move. if I would have been a guy, Id never be able to do that! so females and males can both have tough lives.

So yeah, females have it rough imo.

woohooo I wanna see a Ryuuzaki drool.
I'll take away pregnancy and menstruation away for a while.
hmmmm.....I wanna ask where the heck that: male goes to work and female stays home?(in cases of house wives)

I'm making up something about it that says
*this applies to jobs(for men) requiring stamina not much brains(carpentry, construction worker, etc. etc.)
"way back it was the men who really have it tough.......because they go out to work while the woman can sit back and relax at home.......the women got so bored that they did somethings for a change like cooking, make-uping,cleaning, etc. etc. then in all interest on those thing by the women of old they all did it as if it was their job. then when it got to this point it was now in a state where the women go off and say they have it tougher.

oh and I ain't answering yet.........if you add in the birth giving thing then I guess women do.....

I personally hate these kinds of discussion. People always seem to bicker that their gender has it worse then an emotional Berlin Wall goes up. Personally I think both genders have about equal suffering, but in different areas and that we need to rely on each other symbioticly to overcome this adversity.
