I was 14 but that's when i knew i was watching anime, when i was 5 i've watched pokemon and dragon ball and so but then i didnt know what i was watching i just tought it were cartoons

12 years ago back then no anime series were out in england on dvd or t.v just movies like ghost in the shell, patlabour etc, 4 years later they started to show pokemon and dragonball z and ever since the anime scene in the uk is getting stronger and stronger.

Hmmm... I was about 4-5, watching tapes that my relatives brought back from Japan =P
Then there's Candy Candy, Ayashi no Ceres, Sailor Moon, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin (Silverfang, if I recall the translation correctly)... things like that. As Azmodean said, there's been very little anime that's been showed in Swedish television, and I've had to find my fixes elseway.

if you count cartoons then it was Bugs Bunny or Scooby Doo though it could have been Disney, then I was 5 or 6.
if your talking "real anime" then it was in college "Ghost in the Shell" our Anime/Cosplay/Roleplaying Club, persuaded a movie house manager to get it, and hold a midnight show on the 4nd week of its release. We sold the tickets and advertised, besides the 10 tickets that we got for free, we sold out the venue. 312 seat taken out of 314, The manager took a picture for corporate and still the picture still hangs in the theaters office.

well i first watch this anime sailor moon at the age of 5 when it was on fox kids once well now its changed the channel around to jetix now ^^ but when i reached the age of 7 or 8 i stopped watching anime because it stopped showing on T.V and there was none anime there is for me to watch :( and when i turned 14 i started watching anime again when i discovered this site or any other one =]

Haha youngen, I remember watching Dragonball in the late 80's. If my mind serves me right it didn't last long though. grant it anime didn't do to well on tv in the US til the late 90's.

But what really got me into anime was Initial D in 1998 (whoot for bootlaged VHS tapes) and in 2001 inuyasha which was on mtv2 then moved onto adult swim. but yeah those two out be what really got me into anime.
