Harry Potter and the Heart of Gaea (Earth)

[Lady Earth]

Hello, I don't know about you all but I did not like the way HP ended so I am writing this fic. I took me long to write this and I hope you all enjoy the first chapter. Reviews are always welcomed.


Chapter One: The Elementals

“Hurry it up, Hermonie!” Ron shouted as he and Harry ran with the rest of the school towards the Black Lake.

“I’m coming, Ron!” Hermonie shouted.

The professors made sure the students did not get any where too near the water where an enormous circle with a web like that of a dream catcher and many intricate designs had been bewitched for the arrival of their guests. Every student wore a jacket or sweater as said by the Prefects. Why? Well, their incoming guests would arrive at the strike of nine at night. For the past two months Hogwarts had been a buzz since the news that Hogwarts had been chosen to be the sixth school to participate in the I.W.E.T. in other words the International Witchcraft and Elemental Tournament. Held only once every twenty-four years under the Month of Harvest (October).

When the announcement had been made by Dumbledore during supper even Snape had seemed to give a “sincere” smile. Preparations to make Hogwarts look good as new! Decorations, repainting rooms, restoring what was falling a part, modifying guest rooms, cleaning, and leaving no place of the school spotless. At the beginning everyone complained but once promised by Dumbledore that all homework would be postponed due to the tournament, everyone’s co-operative side showed up!

“So, how many other schools are coming?” Ron asked.

“”Five!” Hermonie replied.

“The Five Elemental Schools,” Harry added.

“Oh I just can’t wait to see her!” a first year girl shouted catching their attention. “I saw her during summer vacations down at Diagon Alley. She was with a really jot looking guy! And she looked so beautiful!! Of course I had no chance to talk with her because she seemed in a hurry.”

A redheaded boy spoke next, “I’ve heard she’s really powerful. She’s won many competitions.”

“But her music!” a Slythering girl named Sarah shouted excitedly. “Her music is the greatest!! My Papa has taken me to all of her concerts.”

“Who do they keep talking about?!” Harry whispered.

“Are you really that naïve, Potter?” Malfoy spoke sarcastically from behind him. “They’re talking about none other than Starlight Fanell!!”

“Shut it, Malfoy!” Ron warned.

“Make me!”

Just as Ron was about to hit Malfoy a black cat came out of nowhere jumping in front of Draco and scratched his face. Frightened by the animal he ran away screaming like a girl; Crabbe and Goyle right behind him. Meanwhile, the cat sat next to Rom and meowed. For someone who doesn’t like cats Ron surprised the heck out of Harry and Hermonie when he picked the cat up in his arms.

“Where did you come from?”

“Prrreow!”

“Look,” Hermonie pointed. “in its forehead.”

Harry got closer, A silver moon?”

“It belongs to an Elemental.”

“How you know, Hermonie?”

“I read in a book that Elementals have guardian animals with the all the time. One family in particular holds black cats as their but for the life of me I can’t remember what family. Bu t it sure belongs to an Elemental.”

“How so? They’re not here yet,” Rom commented.

The cat made a purring sound before surprising them all by sprinting in to the air. Everyone followed the silvery glow of the cat’s symbol to watch it calmly land perfectly on its four legs. After stretching for a few seconds it leaped into Dumbledore’s shoulder.

“Ah, Reyna, you’re here! Good,” Dumbledore greeted the animal.

“Prrrrwew!” the cat responded

McGonagall stepped closer, “as always charmed to see you, Reyna!”

Reyna sprinted in to McGonagall’s open arms, “Meow, meow!”

“Me two!”

“I assume she did not wish to come?” Dumbledore commented.

“Meow.”

“However…”

“Meow reow prreow!”

“Oh yes, William can be quite convincing when needed.”

Minerva placed Reyna on the ground, “We’ll get the students ready.”

“Trrr.”

Minerva and Albus exchanged a look. Then Dumbledore addressed the students with a strong mighty voice using his wand as an amplifier. Making even the noisiest of people shut upon the sound of his voice like a small child.
“All students chosen to be guides for our guests please come forward!”

Harry and Hermonie turned to Ron who was arranging the colorful armband he had been given two weeks ago. After carefully placing it on his left arm he beamed at them with a smile before running to the front as Dumbledore had ordered.

“I hope Ron can do a good job!” Hermonie whispered to Harry.

“So do I!”

Three more students joined Ron the only sixth year student, representing Gryffindor. A third year Ravenclaw boy, a fourth year Slythering girl, and a fifth year Huphulpuff girl, ran each with an armband different to the other. Dumbledore looked at them and then back at the rest of the students.

“There seems to be one missing!”

“Here I am, Dumbledore!” a second year Ravenclaw boy exclaimed running and almost crashing into McGonagall. “Sorry, Professor!”

“It’s alright, Pedmon, now go join the others.”

“All keep quiet now!”

No sooner had many mouths stopped their ranting when the clock struck nine. Reyna gave a loud meow before jumping into the air, performing a summersault that made her land at the center of the circle. She directed her forehead towards the sky and her silvery moon startled everyone as it gave out a bright light beam into the heavens as a sign. Suddenly fire appeared out of nowhere enveloping the cat within its flames.

Soon the figures of people began to form and as the flames disappeared, the students from Hogwarts witnessed many young people and one adult dressed in long red mixed with yellows and orange gowns and capes moved towards one of the ropes anchored in the lake shore. In step they fell with their Headmaster.

“Sarah!” Dumbledore called and the fourth year Slythering.

“Yes Dumbledore?”

“Leonard,” Dumbledore spoke to the other head master. “This will be your guide.”

“Good,” was the only reply given.

“Sarah, go stand next to the students and keep quiet.”

As Sarah ran and stood next to a boy younger than her a strong gust of wind began to form a dark gray tornado at the center of the circle. No one could take their eyes from the immense tunnel forming. Just as with the first group the tempest vanished and now another group but this time in silvery flowing gowns and capes appeared and immediately directed themselves towards Dumbledore. They stood to his left.

“Dumbledore,” the female Headmaster greeted.

“Sasha, honor.”

“May we have our guide?”

“Of course. Pedmon!”

“Yes, Sir,” Pedmon replied moving next to the students.

Now water from the lake made it way to the center and went up and down up and own, spiting people into a line until finally another set of student with royal blue gowns and capes appeared. With a sort of liquidity to their walk they joined the first group on Dumbledore’s right.

“Cetor!”

The third year Ravenclaw stepped in and moved to the third group.

“Our guide?” the male Head Master asked.

“Yes, he-’’

Before he could finish an enormous hunk or rock from the Forbidden Forest came rolling and all the students and head masters had to dodge the thing or get crushed to death. Gladly everyone did and as they picked themselves up the rock split in half allowing the fourth group out. They wore dark brown gowns with capes. And as two of the students helped their oversized Head Master out of the rock the rest joined the second group on Dumbledore’s left. Finally free from the rock the head master and two students united with the rest of their group. By that time the Huphulpuff girl named Elsa had already joined them.

Now the only one left was Ron and as he stood there waiting he went over the Schools that had arrived. “So far, the Fire, Water, wind, and Earth schools are here. That means I get the shorter group. The-’’

A blinding white light formed at the center of the circle and as Ron used his hand to cover some of the light he could see that the four head master of the different schools where using their wands and creating the beam! Soon snow like flakes began to fall and figures emerge d from them. Only nine people dressed in florescent white gowns and capes that danced with the sift breeze came down the ropes and stood in front of Dumbledore.

The Head Master stepped in, “Tis good to see you after so long, Dumbledore!”

“Pleasure seeing you again, William!”

They shook hands and where soon joined by the other Head Masters and the Professors of Hogwarts. Ron just stood there waiting to be called. Yet as the minutes passed he began to feel anxious about no one remembering him.

“Is our guide ready?” William asked.

“Ron!” Dumbledore called.

Immediately he jumped into action. But before he could join the group of students someone or something grabbed him the neck and spun him around. He came face to face with the Head Master of the fifth group.

“You are not going to wait for my wife and daughter?”

“Excuse me?” Ron asked dumbfounded.

William let go of him, “My wife and daughter have yet to arrive. Its costmary of a gentleman to wait for ladies, is it not?”

“Yes sir.”

“Then stay still. They are soon to come.”

The words had barely left his mouth when a portal opened above the circle and through it a two woman dressed in white with wings longer than any bird any of them had seen slowly descended and gently allowed their wings to a line with each others.

Meanwhile in the crowed Harry hissed in pain as his scar began to pain him.

“Harry, are you alright?” a concerned Hermonie asked.

“Not really.”

“Is it your scar?”

A nod, “Yes.”

“When did it start?”

“When those two women appeared.”

“That’s not good.”

“Indeed.”

William turned to Ron, “Now my boy, go on.”

“Yes Sir!”

Still at the center of the circle the two angels like women watched the scene before them. The young woman with dark brown hair and caramel almost gold tips, directed her gaze to the beautiful redhead besides her.

“This is it?”

“Yes, Dear,” the woman replied.

“What was the reason I had to come yet again?”

“You are past of the Etha school. Tis right for you to come and participate.”

A deep sigh, “As you wish.”

“Should we go and join your father, then?”

A nod, “Lead the way, mother.”

As her mother passed her and she in turn followed her lead, the young woman began to feel uneasy about being in this place. She wished she’d been able to stay back at the Academy but no such luck. She gazed into the heavens. Sister Moon stared back at her with a small smile, as if saying ‘Don’t duel in it. Deal with it!’

*Even you Sister Moon mock me?! I that serve you and all of nature? I suppose there is more to this then. That you know something I know not of.*

Her mother in turn was having a nice little chat with her husband; a telepathic chat that is. “She can sense we are keeping something from her.”

“Laura, it is what the Gods want,” was William replied as he spoke with McGonagall.

“Still, I wished…”

“So do me my love.”

Their talk was cut by Minerva’s joyful welcome as she saw Laura and her daughter coming close. “Laura!”

“Minerva!”

Both women embraced each other.

“How are you, Laura?”

“Fine. And you?”

“Not bad,” McGonagall replied turning her gaze on the young woman behind Laura.

“Evening Godmother.”

“My God, you’ve grown so much! Come here; let me hug you, Starlight.”
Doing as asked Starlight immediately embraced her. Not long Dumbledore appeared and smiled at her.

“Do I not deserve one?”

“Of course you do!”

“Your father said you weren’t coming.”

“Yet here I am!”

“Meow!”

“Reyna!” Starlight exclaimed looking down. She bent to pick the cat up but just as her fingers touched the animal’s fur it ran away. “Reyna, come back here!”

William and Laura watched their daughter run after the cat. They exchanged a look with Dumbledore and McGonagall; who in turn nodded. Harry and Hermonie talked with one of the Fire students when the black cat they had seen before jumped into Harry’s arms.

“Hey Reyna!” the young Fire student spoke.

But before any of them had a chance to speak Harry’s and Starlight’s eyes met and a strong breeze appeared out of nowhere as if predicting something coming.

Chapter Two: The Tournament

"Hey Star,” a silver haired young man said as Harry watched Starlight. “Think you gonna eat that pumpkin pie of yours?”

Starlight looked at the young man and laughed, “Silly Elius, you’re going to get sick!”

“I know! But then again not everyone that gets stomachache has you to heal them. So just pass the pumpkin pie!”

Ron followed Harry’s gaze and shook his head. He had to admit Starlight Fanell is a gorgeous looking girl. She had caught his eye the moment Ron had seen her come through that portal in the sky and descend to the circle in the lake. But he also knew there was something more to her. In the other hand, Harry could not keep his eyes away from Starlight. She smiled as if it where the last time she would have the chance to do so. Yet her smiles and laughter touched his heart in a way no one had-not even Cho!

“Forget her, Harry,” Hermonie spoke.

“Eh? What, did you say?” Harry said trying to break off from the spell Starlight had cast over him.

“I said forget her. She is far way of your league.”

“I was you I’d do as Hermonie says,” Neville suddenly spoke.

Starlight’s laughter caught his attention. She was wiping pumpkin from Elius’ face while he tried to kiss he cheek. She slapped him in the arm and laughed some more. Elius picked up some mash potato and tried placing it on her nose. She dodged it and threw the napkin to his face.

“That Elius and Star really do like each other!” an Etha Elemental sitting next to Hermonie exclaimed to another student sitting at the Ravenclaw table.

“Yeah! I can see that,” the young girl replied.

“Ouch, look whose coming!”

William Fanell Headmaster of the Etha Elemental Academy made his way toward the Gryffindor table where his daughter and Elius sat. Both did not notice when he stood right behind them so he did what he did best and used his wolf head cane. He put it between the two people and it created a loud howl making everyone turn.

“The chosen ones, my dearest,” William gently said.

Starlight grinned and nodded. “Alright, father.” She stood and followed him to the table were all the professors sat. Before she turned back and faced the students. She winked at Dumbledore. Harry, Ron, and Hermonie just as the rest where trying to guess as to what was going on.

William and Starlight faced each other. William bowed and Starlight in turn curtsied back. William then stretched his hand to her and smiling she placed her hand in his. He gently kissed it and returned to his seat but not before giving her his silver wolf headed cane.

While William sat Dumbledore stood and addressed the students. “All keep quiet and listen well for soon six will be chosen and the tournament will begin!”

All the candles vanished leaving the great hall in darkness. Suddenly from the ceiling six spheres floated towards the young woman all knew as Starlight. Harry hissed as his scar began to trove with pain again. As for Starlight she took the floating spheres in her hands and placed the cane in front of her. Then she joggled with the spheres, “All in all life is created by the power of five. Five elements that live in harmony within the arms of Mother Earth, five who are her children and go by these names; Fire…”

“WE ARE ONE!” the Fire students shouted and the sphere corresponding to their color levitated above every student before returning to Starlight.

“Water…”

“WE ARE ONE!” the Water students replied, their sphere doing as the one before.

“Wind…”

“WE ARE ONE!”

“Earth…”

“WE ARE ONE!”

“Etha…”

“WE ARE ONE!”

“Yet there is a sixth child that protects the five, completing the circle of life. This sixth child holds powers-gifts from the fives. Now when I call thy name sixth child all united as one must shout We are one, for it is truth and not a lie…”

Starlight kept her eyes on everyone and just for a split second she caught Harry’s gaze and gave him a smile. “Here with us is Witchcraft!!!”

Taking their cue from the others the Hogwarts students shouted WE ARE ONE. After that Starlight fell to the ground as fire began to envelope her body. Now water entwined with fire, then wind and earth joined then. Suddenly and immense explosion occurred and Starlight reappeared in a long satin dress with gold, her long wings stretched out as she floated above the ground with a crystal gold rimmed cup in her opened hands. A pool of water had formed under her and now she stood above it not in it but on top.

Laura Fanell took her queue and situated herself next to her daughter. “This which my child holds is one of the items once used by the greatest priestess to have protected Gaea! This is the Amoret’s Crystal Imperium Cup! For the next two weeks student’s ages from 15-17 who wish to take part in the competition must place their name within this cup. Two of each school’s students will be chosen.”

“Ah, but do we warned…” William spoke moving next to his wife, “My daughter is the keeper of the cup and will watch who tries to place their name in it.”

Harry took another look at the floating girl she had her eyes on him. She winked and turned to her father.

“My dearest, do you wish to enter the Tournament?”

“Yes.”

Laura took a slip of paper and wrote her name in it. She folded it into tiny square and threw it into the cup. Immediately gentle singing emanated from the cup. Followed by two doves flying around the room, then vanishing in a flash of diferent colors.

“Who’s next?” Laura Fanell asks looking around the room.

“I’ll do it!” the silvered haired man that had been sitting next to Starlight exclaimed.

“Yeah, go Elius!”

The young man walked up the stairs with pride shown, no fear. And at the moment he threw the paper into the cup, Harry wished he had the courage needed but since what happened last time…well…


Starlight allowed her eyes to move all over the Great Hall. Something was odd around here. She could feel an entety moving about the castle. She could not locate its position but she could sense it. She knew she should tell her parents about it but something else told her to keep quiet.

kinda reminds me of goblet of fire.....i like it

It soundd like that year but it is actually the sixth year, but I will make that clear later on. It does have a similarity to globet of fire but it will be completely different. A lot of twists and turns.Pretty good

agreed harry should have died would have made it alot more interesting

Chapter Three: Replica for the dark Arts Class

To everyone’s surprise the Head Master had made an announcement. Since the new professor that had been chosen to take of the Drak Arts Class had been unable to make it, Starlight had been asked to teach the class while another professor was chosen. Every student in Hogwarts was asking how she could manage to do so? She had to stay in place and look after the cup holding the names of those who wanted to enter the Tournament.

And many young students had tried to trick her and enter their names into the cup. Only to fall deep into the small pond of water that had appeared under the floating form of Starlight. It was covered with a dense fog; those who were not of age fell right into the water while those who were of the age mention walked on it, the fog moving slowly aside.

Still everyone who was in the Great Hall watching the young woman, with closed eyes was wondering how she would be able to teach them. She was their same age, none had ever known of someone their age being given the job to teach them before, she what made her different?

Suddenly to everyone’s amazement Starlight’s body was encased in a bubble. The bubble descended and began to take a man shape in front of everyone. S the bubble popped everyone could se an exact replica of Starlight. But before anyone could say a word Dumbledore stood from his seat and escorted her to the Teacher’s Room.

The students settled on their desks. Many boys had the front seat and the girls had to seat on the back. Ron grabbed Harry's elbow and pulled him towards a desk he'd saved. It was right smack in front.

"Is this why you got up earlier?" Harry asked. He looked back at Hermione who had an angry face on her.

"Yup!"

As they sat Starlight came in. She had a smile on her that made every boy sight and every girl growl.

"Morning everyone! Hope you had a good breakfast. Looks like Professor Snape is going to be late, sooooooo... How about some of you tell me about yourselves?"

Neville raced his hand, "Mss... Mss. Fanell?"

"Yes... mmm..."

"Neville."

"Neville, what is it?"

"One of the mice you had got out." he said showing it to her.

"Oh dear. Please bring it here."

Neville moved and gave the mouse to Starlight.

"Thank you, Neville." Starlight sensed something strange about the mouse. A smiled spread in her face. She grabbed it by the tail, placed it correctly in her hand and said, " Please, take out your books on Water and open them to chapter one. Mr. Weasley read the title."

"O-O.K. 'Water Demons and Their Weakness"

"Right now can anyone tell me what an Anowaki is?"

"An Anowaki or Moonshine is a type of shadow demon who lives is shallow water. It hides there until it finds another body to hide in. They usually like to take the shape of mice..." When Hermione said the last word she stared at the animal on Starlight's hand.

"Correct. Ten points to Gryffindor." Starlight once again took the mouse by the tail. "Anowaki like to take possession of mice because it is able to move quickly onto shallower water in less than five minutes. But... a mouse changes shape and can be identified by using a simple little spell that will keep you from getting bitten and turned into an Anowaki. Believe me is not a thing you want to turn to."

Snape had entered just a few minutes before Starlight had begun her teaching. He decided to test her knowledge and let her keep with her subject.

"Now when you see a mouse and you are not sure whether it's a mouse or an Anowaki, there are two ways to fond out."

The mouse on Starlight's hand began to fight.

"Now little one don't worry this won't hurt." she turns to the students. "Grab the mouse by the tail as soon and fast as you can. Throw it up into the air and say loud and clear, Hechizó Removido!"

The mouse swayed to the side evading the blue light coming from Starlight's wand and landed on it's four legs; on top of Starlight's desk.

Starlight chuckled, "Well little one looks like you don't wanna stay put..." She pointed her wand at the mouse again.

"No no wait..." the mouse squeaked.

"It talks!?" Malfoy exclaimed.

Changing back to its true form it spoke, "Yes I do." He stepped out from the desk and shook dust from his suit. "You know for a moment there I thought I was dead..."

"You would be! Now if you don't mind, please leave my classroom and I will deal with you later, Mr. Minagawa!" Starlight commanded.

The young man pouted, “I wanna stay.”

“Not unless you wanna be used as the pet project.”

Minagawa shrugged, “Nah! Just wanted to wish you from all the other Elementals’ good luck!”

Starlight smiled and slapped him in the arm, “Thank s now you go, out.”

“Ok, Ok. See later, Teach!”

Starlight took a deep breath and slowly turned back to the class and to Harry's surprised eyes. "I'm deeply sorry about that how about we star all over. Take out parchment and a quill to take notes. You will also be required to read and speak Spanish-"

"Spanish? What for?" a red haired girl asked.

"I was getting to it. For the next few days I shall be working with Hagrid. He shall bring some creatures such as Anowaki so we may practice. However, some spells work best in Spanish. Now please take the notes on the board. And also, back in the Academy we are taught to use spells in other languages so to always be prepared." Starlight turned the board around.

In it the notes were already written.

Ron read them:




Anowaki's
The name Anowaki comes from the word of the ancient Moon Children. Its meaning, 'one who in the shadows takes the form of an innocent' They are also known as Shadow Demons in our world. They can take the body of an unsuspected victim and use its body until it is useless to them.

"Now you all shall have partners. Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom, you two work together. Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, are group number two. Stella Sapphire and Serena William, Draco Malfoy and Carolyn Stoddard..."

"You will stay with your partner for the rest of the school year unless I say so."

Starlight pulled out red badges and passed them to everyone. They had a black cat with a red scar shaped moon on its forehead. Its Green eyes stared back at the person looking them. Harry, Ron, and Hermonie recognized the cat.

"And these are for..." Neville began.

As everyone put the badges on a student raised his hand. “Mss. Fanell?”

“What is it George?”

“What happened back in the Great Hall…Ohm…Carl and I were wondering, what type of spell is it?”

Starlight moves around her desk until she is facing the whole group. However, she is unable to answer for at that moment Snape makes his presence known. Like always he makes his way into the room without much of a word to anyone. He finally comes face to face with Starlight.

“Professor Snape, glad you made it.” Starlight greets him.

To everyone in the room a bigger shock could not have made them fall of their seats. Snape actually gave her a smile. A real smile! Then the old Snape was back as soon as he faced the students.

“I do hope this students, have been no trouble for you,” Snape says in his old manner.

“Not at all.”

“Good,” was all he said before walking to the board. “As you all well know, I will be assisting Mss. Fanell in this class.”

There were a bunch of sighs in the room.

Snape snaps his body back to them his face as always making everyone gulp, “I will have none of that!”

Starlight stared at Snape. Wow! Godfather was not joking about Snape…I think I might need to soften him a little.

An hour and a half later the class was packing up their things. Snape had decided to leave her with the class for the last ten minutes, and that seemed to have cheered the boys a lot. Starlight began to erase the notes in the board, and was already in the process of writing the next set for tomorrow, when a group of Fire, water, Wind, Earth, Etha Elementals knocked on the door.

“May we come in?” the group said in unison.

Starlight looks at her wrist watch, “Ok everyone, you may go. Don’t forget to go over your notes!”

The group of Elementals moved in as the rest of the class emptied out. Hermione and Harry stopped when they did not see Ron was walking with them. They turn to see him leaning against the wall that leads into the class room.

“Ron, what are you doing?” Hermione asks.

“I figured out what Mss. Fanell did back at the Great Hall?”

“What? How?” Harry speaks; even though he wants to peek in and see Starlight he does everything he can not to do it.

“It’s called Spirit Division. An Elemental is capable of using a small amount of unused energy on its body to create an exact replica of them. While the original is in a state of trance, you might say more like in a type of deep sleep, the replica is able to move around.”

“What happens when the real one wakes?” Harry asks taking a quick peek in.

Ron and Hermione do the same. The group of Elementals as laughing and talking when Starlight stops and begins to flicker. The others smile at her and say they will see her at the Great Hall. That said the replica of Starlight vanishes.

“The replica is once again turned into energy and returned to the body of the owner,” Ron whispers. “Our ne Professor is pretty cool, huh?”

Hermione crossed her arms, “You still with that crush on her!” She walks away.

“Huh? What did I say?!”

“Better leave it, Ron,” Harry says. “Let’s go and leave our thing sin the Common Room. Then head to the Great Hall.”

In the mean time Hermione was fuming. She could not believe that the appearance of Starlight had so many boys acting like idiots. Not that Ron was not an idiot but come on!! Hermione stops and leans against a wall.

Face it Granger, Starlight Fanell is the girl every boy dreams about. She is gorgeous, nice body, good manners, rich, famous, powerful. And yet there is such gentle warmth in her isn’t there? Even though you hurt her back at Diagon Alley she did not have any anger towards you…

“Oh, hello there!” Laura Fanell says as she almost runs over Hermione.

“Oh, hello Mrs. Fanell, how are you?”

“I am fine. May I ask your name?”

“I’m Hermione, Hermione Granger.”

‘My, what a lovely, lovely name. Well, if you excuse me I need to get ready for to morrow night,” Laura replies moving to the side.

“Tomorrow night?” Hermione asks a bit curious.

“The drawing of the competitors for the Tournament will be announced tomorrow evening!”

“But the cup was no opened but three days ago.”

“Oh, you’d be surprise as to how many have placed their name…but enough now. Excuse me.”

Hermione watched Laura leave and ran to the Common Room. But unknown to anyone in the castle, something that had been dormant for centuries, undisturbed by humanity and those of power, was about to be reawakened.

SUSSY

The chilling breeze covered him like a white blanket, enveloping his warm skin with goose bumps. The darkness did not allow him to see the person calling to him. The voice so familiar and yet he couldn't find it. Where was him? Who was the person calling to him? A tree branch commanded by an unseen force threw him against something. He fell roughly onto the ground, air leaving his healthy lungs.

The voice called to him again, "Harry, Harry! Come to me, help me. I need you Harry..."

Harry stood but before he could say a word to the person calling, a horrible scream reached his ears. "WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING? WHAT'S WRONG?"

The only response he got was the evil laughter of a man. "Soon all that dared to resist me shall pay. All that try to stop me shall pay. Thanks to you all shall be mine. My sweet, my love."

A full moon appeared and its light allowed for Harry to see the man and the girl on his arms. Full realization hit Harry as her face reached him...

Ron had been woken by Harry's screams and murmurs. He stood and tried to wake Harry up but he couldn't. He tried shaking him as Neville and some of the other boy woke. "Harry, wake up man. You're having a nightmare. Harry..."

Harry spoke without opening his eyes, "NOO! LET HER GO! NOO!..."

Neville became scared, "May be we should call one of the professors?"

The new boy Andrew touched Harry's forehead, "I think he's got a fever."

"Neville, go find a professor fast!" Ron commanded

Neville took off faster than you could think. His steps were stopped by Professor McGonagall. "Mr. Longbottom, what are you doing up?"

"Professor you've got to come quick..."

"Why, what is wrong?"

"It’s... It’s Harry. His having a bad dream and we think he has fever and we can't wake him up."

Minerva covered her mouth with a hand. "Him also?"

"Also what?"

"No nothing. Come let’s go."

McGonagall followed Neville back to the common room. When they entered the boy's dormitory they saw Dumbledore there. He was trying to wake Harry but to no availed.

"Albus, what is wrong with him?"

"He's got a high fever and can't wake from whatever dream his having."

McGonagall pulled Dumbledore to a corner. "Albus, I went to see Starlight a few moments ago and found her the same way Potter is acting now. She's got a fever but no nightmare."

Tears filled her eyes, "Albus. It is beginning. She- she will."

"No don't think about that. For now go back with her and stay with her. I'll take Potter with Madam Prompley. If the fever hasn't passed by tomorrow morning Tell Snape to take care of her class."

McGonagall nodded and left.

Dumbledore picked Harry in his arms and took him to the Hospital wing. Ron was right beside him. So were Neville, and Andrew.

"There's no need for you all to come." Dumbledore said as he laid Harry down.

Madam Prompley came running toward the people gather around the bed. "Out of the way!" "Dear, he's burning up-same as Starlight."

"Miss. Fanell is sick too?!" Andrew asked.

"That is none of your business" Dumbledore retorted. "Madam Promley, please take care of him. Mr. Weasley, Mr. Longbottom, and Mr. Dumass; go back to bed and stay there."

"But Headmaster..."

"No buts go now!"

Ron and the others followed Dumbledore's orders. Half way into the common room they were meet by Hermonie. She ran and stopped right in front of Ron, who had his eyes above her head. Neville and Andrew noticed the interaction and left them.

"Andrew's brother told me that Harry was taken to the Hospital Wing. Is it true?"

"Yes."

"Then why aren't you with him?"

"Dumbledore said to come back here..."

"As if I want too! You go back and see how he is feeling!"

"Why the hell should I go!? He's your boyfriend!"

"Fine then I'll go! And maybe I can give him a kiss in his little boo boo!" Hermonie began to walk toward the door only to be stopped by Ron's angry grasp.

"Like hell you're not!" Ron shouted pulling Hermonie towards him grasping both of her arms now.

Hermonie was taken aback by his sudden reaction, "Ron, let go..."

Ron pulled her tighter against him. Their lips almost touching, "You will stay here and wait until Dumbledore says so. Got it!?"

"Why are you acting these way, Ron?"

Ron let go of Hermonie's arms, "Listen I'm also worried about Harry, but we have another thing to worry for..."

"What?"

"I don't know..." Ron moved toward the fire and sat on a wing back chair. "Harry... he was talking is his sleep. He-he..."

"What,Ron!?"

"He said You-Know-Who's name!"

"What?" Hermonie huskily whispered.

"He said, 'Vol- Voldemort, let go of her...' That's all he said."

Hermonie stayed quite not knowing what to say or do. Inside her mind many questions and their equally hard answers spin around and around. She at, “Are you certain?"

Ron nodded, "I was the only one who heard him. Neither Neville nor Andrew did but you never know the might have."

"Wanna hear something even weirder?" Jeannie's voice startled them.

"GINNY!!" both Ron and Hermonie exclaimed.

"How long have you been there?" Hermonie asked.

"Oh about when my brother said, You- know- Who's name."

"What did you want to say?" spoke Ron.

"I was using the map George and Fred gave to Harry. Just looking at it, when I turned it to the professor’s dormitories and I saw this..." she showed them the map.



On the map there were the names of Professor Snape, McGonagall, and the name of someone called Sussy Black. All of them gathered around Mss. Fanell. Before either of the people looking at the map could speak, the map turned itself into a one way mirror. The image provided by the mirror was that of Mss. Fanell's room.

"What do you think they are doing there?" Hermione

"Does it look like I know?!" Ron spat at Hermine

" Sorry just asking!"

" Quite both of you..." Jeannie spoke. "They're about to say something."

The girl with purple highlights named Sussy Black touched Starlight's forehead. "Oh dear! Her fever has gotten much stronger. We should call her parents..."

"Madam Prompley shall be here soon," Snape replied.

"I hope so. .." Professor McGongall began. "Has she ever gotten a fever like this before?"

"Yes. When You-Know-Who was still roaming. To be exact three days before Potter's parents were killed."

"Explain yourself," Snape commanded.

"As you know there is a connection between Potter and Starlight here..."

Snape and McGongall nodded in unison.

"What we don't know is how..." Sussy continued. "But that same night her mother says she heard You-know-Who's voice. You the one who carries the light from the stars. The one whom the moon decided to name as her own child. Who's father is the sun. You are and shall be my key. That same night Starlight got a fever such as these."

"And now that we are talking about her, lets not forget that Starlight was said to die in two weeks..." a woman with long blueish hair stepping from the shadows. She was dressed in a long white sexy dress. Behind her a forest could be barely seen.



"Shut your mouth Kagura!" Sussy exclaimed.

The woman named Kagura laughed. "Why should I? Every night creature knows it is the truth."

"P-Q-P-R con la home girl?" Sussy asked in some weird language

"I beg your pardon?!"

"Yeah you heard me. And theirs about to be a Girl fight!" Sussy screamed trying to punch her in the face. But Kagura disappeared in mid air, making Sussy fall to the ground. Sussy just hits the ground with her fists and gets up again. "theirs no need for your cheep crap here you know. Why don't you come and face me?" McGonagall gets Sussy by the hand and kicks her out of the room. You could only hear her say, "Ooh, fine be like that! I was just defending her." and walked away.


Ron laughed as Sussy angrily walked from the hall. "Man I sure wouldn't like to meet her on a dark alley!"


" I think she's cool!" Ginny replied.

"I on the other side Think she's got such a bad bedside manner." Hermonie confessed.

Ginny yawned, "I don't know about you two, but I'm going to bed. I'll wait and see what happens tomorrow."

"Wait for me..." Hermonie called.

The warmth emanating from the sun entered playfully through the window. Its rays made way towards the sleepers bed. Harry awoke moments before the light sting his eyes. His head hurt and so did his body. Reaching for his glasses he recognized the place he was in. The Hospital Wing. But why was he here? Last thing he remember he was in his own bed.

"Aah good to know you're up!" madam Promley spoke cheerfully.

"W-w-why am I here?" Harry asked.

"You had a high fever last night. Gave your friends quite a scare, you might say."

"O-o- oh know I remember. Yeah i still can feel the after effects."

Madam Promley ignored him and began making some kind of medicine. It was a pale type of green color.

"Is that for me?" Harry gulped.

"No." with that said she left him.

"Yawn, when is our teacher ~yawn~ coming?" Ron asks still asleep.

'Boom!' the class room door swung open and Sussy came in talking to herself. "I could have kicked her ass, but no, McGonagall had to stop me! Oy! How I really hate her guts!" all the class heard her mumbled.

"Uhm, excuse me, when is our teacher coming?" a red headed girl asked.

" For the day, I'm going to be your teacher for a little while. Starlight is going to be absent for some time and well I got stuck with the job. So like you guys have to deal, with me for a while." Sussy says with a smile. She turns around, and got the planning from the desk, but she swore that she saw a shadow pass by her. She paid no attention to it. She looked at the planning and made really weird faces at it. "So you guys were learning about the People from the Moon. I don't really know much so I'm going to do my best." While she wrote some notes in the boar, she heard that Hermonie and that red headed girl were talking very loudly.

"Really! She was about to hit that woman, wow, and i thought that was her bad side!" Hermonie squeaked.

"Yeah she's really aggressive! Yeah, you can notice, look how she dresses. And how she talks and everything. That tells you that she has no class and is very spoiled." At that Sussy tuned around and looked at both of them. "Yeah I'm spoiled so what! Got a problem with that! Miss. I'm so smart."

"Look 'teacher', I'm just speaking my mind! It's my opinion, its not like its going to hurt you." the red head said.


"OK, fine you want to play that game. I think that you’re just acting up, you want attention, you think you can do whatever you want 'cuz you’re smart! Fat chance! Everyone knows that you can be who ever you want but keep acting like that and your going to loose your friends like that. Oh, yeah before I forget you also have detention, with Snape!" she smiles and turns to the board again.
"I'm not going to let you get away with it! Snape is such a... jerk!" The read head replied.

Noticing the person under the threshold, Sussy totally ignored the redhead. "Well, well, well. Look the wind decided to bring!"

Dressed on a ocean blue suit, his white hair in the same way, his watery green eyes; Sella entered the class room. "Starlight thought you might need some notes on the topic her students are studding so she made this for you." Sella raised the papers in his hand.

Harry, Ron, and Hermonie listened to their exchange.

Sella reached Sussy and gave her the notes. Sussy noticed everyone's attention and took a look at the notes. "Here it says to read the chapter you stayed in, and then draw a sketch of an Anowaki. You will all be with you assigned teammate... Okay you heard what i said now read and when both you and your partner are done reading get together and sketch."

All did as they were told. As they read, Harry, Ron, and Hermonie kept their ears opened to what their teacher and Sella said.

"So, how's the little princess?"

"She's eating but not that well..." Sella lowered his head.

Worry crossed Sussy's face, "What is it?"

"Everything she eats, she gets rid off-

"-You mean she throws up?"

Sella nodded. "Professor McGonagall, has send for her parents. Laura and Bill left last night to bring in the judges for the games. She thinks that it has begun-"

"NO. DON"T EVEN SAY THAT!!!" Sussy angrily exclaimed.

The students jumped and stared at Sussy. What they saw made them not able to tear their eyes away. Sussy was crying. Sella sat her on the chair and turned to see all the people.

"Any of you interested in reading out loud?" Sella smiled his most charming smile.

The read head raised her hand.

"Yes, you Mss...."

"Bash, Serena Bash."

"Well, Mss. Bash, you shall read for the whole class while I take Sussy to drink something."

Sella and Sussy left. Before Serena could talk, Malfoy spoke. "Alas, her weakening shall become my strength and my call. I shall return and the last fight will begin."

"What's that supposed to mean, Malfoy?" Goyle asked.

"Simple my dear, friend. Does were the last words You-Know-Who said before he disappeared. He said these words to the Fanell Family. Our dear Mss. Fanell is the one who Voldemort chose as his..."

"Mr. Malfoy, shut your mouth!!" McGonagall yelled.

Malfoy jumped at her command. McGonagall moved faster than a cheetah towards him. She glared at him and told the whole class to sit. She began to walk from side to side like a caged animal.

"All of you and I mean all of you will forget what you've heard from Mr. Malfoy. Do i make myself clear!?"

"YES PROFOSSOR MCGONAGALL!" the interred class answered.

"Right then. Mss. Granger..."

"Yes, Professor?"

"You shall assist Mss. Black with her class until Mss. Fanell returns." McGonagall said. “I’m afraid the tournament is canceled until she is feeling much better.”

Sussy entered the classroom once again. No trace of the tear faced girl who had left a few minutes ago, was gone. She moved towards McGonagall, who smiled at her. Sussy nodded and McGonagall left.

"As i have been informed, there is one of you that shall be assisting me. May I know who you are?"

"That would be me, Mss. Black," Hermonie said standing.

"Great! Now I shall put some classroom rules. First, Mss. Granger will have the power to order any of you around in this room. Two, she shall pic up any homework the day is due from any of you, no excuses are allowed for not turning it in. Third, the House who accumulates the more points at the end of this month shall get a prize from me and Mss. Fanell. Is that clear dudes and chicks?"

Everyone agreed.

"Hermonie get everyone with their partner and follow me," Sussy commanded.

Hermonie did as she was told. As on e the whole class followed Sussy. They followed her into Hagrid's home.

As they got closer they could see Hagrid holding the reins of a Timber-silvery-wolf. Its golden eyes stared at the students as they got near to him. Seeing Sussy the wolf began to jump up and down.

"Down boy, down!" Hagrid commanded.

"Hello, Hagrid," Sussy spoke.

"Hello there, Sussy," he greeted her.

"Hagrid is that what I think it is?" Neville asked.

"What do you think it is Mr. Longbottom?" Sussy replied.

"A Moonlight Timber Wolf ma'am"

"A Moonlight Timber Wolf, have you gone crazy!? There are no such things," Malfoy said.

Sussy was beginning to get annoyed by this kid. "Actually, Mr. Longbottom is right. This is a Moonlight Timer Wolf..."

"But Mss. Black... they are just mere myths. How can these animal be one?" Ron asked.

"So, the redheaded boy speaks. I know that all of you have been told the legend of the Moon guardians. Wolves that guard the secret power of the moon. They protect and serve but one master their interred lives. But they are not legends. They are real. Everyone I'd like you to meet Silver Wolf; Mss. Fanell's pet-"

"-Pet? I thought that the Moonlight wolves weren't good pets."

"The Fanell family has always had a way with this type of animals. They obey them without a second thought. Now the reason we are here is because Ms. Fanell wants you to get to know him."

"May we ask why?" a blonde Ravenclaw girl named Cassandra asked.

"Lets just say he will be part of you final exam. Now who shall be first to introduce yourself?"

"I'll do it!" Malfoy stepped in.

"Go Malfoy!!" some Slytherin exclaimed.

"Let go of Silver Wolf, Hagrid."

Hagrid nodded.

Silver Wolf sat beside Sussy and stared at Malfoy.

"Come here..." Malfoy commanded.

Silver Wolf stood and began to move towards him.

"That's it come on. Come here you little ugly thing..."

At the last words that came from Malfoy, the dog stopped and growled. His fur began to turn white as snow and the soft wind breeze that had greeted them earlier; speed up and began to get cool.

"Malfoy don't move, stay still-" Sussy warned

"-What can a stupid dog do to me?"

"More than you can think. That was a very bad move on your part never in your life insult a Moonlight Timber Wolf... Silver come here boy!"

Silver Wolf turned from Malfoy and obeyed Sussy. He lay next to Neville, who stared at him. As if nothing, Neville stroke Silver on the head.

"Well, he might not like you Mr. Malfoy, but he does seem to like Longbottom. Tell him your name."

"Whose? Mine?"

"No, Your toads. Duh! Of course yours."

"Hi there. I'm Neville."

Silver Wolf sat and licked him on the cheek and then howled.

"The lick and howl means he now knows your name and you now have become one of his friends. Now one by one introduce yourself but don't do what our friend Malfoy did."

During lunch Harry, Ron, and Hermonie sat in a table near a corner. The threesome ate little. None of them knew how to break the silence that covered them. But Harry couldn't take it any more and put his fork down.

"Hermonie..."

"Yes, what is it Harry?"

"What did Malfoy mean when he said that Mss. Fanell weakness would be Voldemorts call-well you heard what he said."

"Before you were born..." Hermonie began. "Many years ago, a celestial being was bathing on a lake. A young handsome man heard the voice of a woman singing and decided to take a look. As the celestial being bathe the young man stole her celestial shawl. The celestial being tracked the man who stole her property but when they met face to face they fell in love.

"So, what's that got to do with Mss. Fanell?" Ron asked biting an apple.

"I'm getting there!... The woman that was bathing on the lake is Mss. Fanell's mother; and the man who saw her is her father."

"WHAT!?" both boys exclaimed.

"Keep it down! Now listen, as a celestial being Julia-Mss. Fanell's mother had to give up something precious to her in order to marry. She gave up the Black Celestial Rose. The other celestial beings decided that the rose was far to precious to keep. So, they let it rest inside the Fanell mansion. When You-Know-Who heard the rumor, he attacked the mansion. What he didn't expect was to find the young heirs to the Fanell fortune protecting it. She was so much younger than him but the fire burning on her eyes captivated him."

"Man this tale keeps getting more confusing by the minute," Ron said scratching his head.

(ME: Yeah I know this is confusing, but I promise I'll explain the whole Bill and Laura story during a flash back. ^ _ ^)

"Oh just listen to this. You-Know-Who and Mss. Fanell fought but she lost. You-Know-Who picked her up and put a spell on her and that spell is some how has the connection between Harry and her. But it wasn't his curse that caused the connection it was the power of the Black Rose."

"And how come you know all these?" a suspicious Ron asked.

"Remember the book I was reading before we got to Hogwarts?"

Both boys nodded.

"It is the same book I threw at you. The book had fallen from Mss. Fanell and I picked it up."

Harry could say nothing for Snape had entered The Great Hall followed by the two people Hermonie had talked about. Laura and Bill Fanell were listening carefully to all that Snape said. The redhead saw Harry and nudged her husband on the ribs. He turned to see Harry and then stopped Snape. They talked for a few minutes and then Snape and the two visitors moved towards them.

The woman spoke first, "Hello there, are you Harry Potter?"

"Yes, ma'am. How can I help you?"

Mr. And Mrs. Fanell looked at each other. Mr. Fanell took his wife's hand and kissed it. He looked at Hermonie and Ron.

"Serius, make sure these young people dine with us tomorrow night..."

"Bill?" his wife replied.

"They know, Laura. We need to have a word with them and I am sure our daughter might like to see them. And by the way where's Sussy?" Bill explained.

Laura smiled, " Better said, 'who us she with?'" She turned to Hermonie. "Young lady, may we have the book that belongs to our daughter back?"

"Huh?"

"Yes, the red book with the black panther, you picked up in the bookstore." Julia said.

Hermonie took the book out of her bag and handed it to Laura. She took it in her hand an in front of every person in the room made it disappeared in flames. Then she blew the ashes from her hands.

Bill chuckled with laughter.

"That was bloody awesome!" Ron exclaimed.

"Why thank you young man!

"Should we proceed?" Snape asked.

"Yes. Let us go on, Laura"

They were gone.

this was a great chapter....you know getting more into the plot....hope you explain it more
like someone said earlier in the post..you could publish this....if you change the name of the characters and the scenery and what not.....and....not get sued by JK Rowling
one thing that was odd was the missing plot between when harry wakes up and DADA class. i felt there was something missin...like harry talking, he just appeared there, and i got confused, so hermonie and hary are together or whats goin on?
finally i think it was just you being a bit in haste to finish this chapter but you change people's names part way throuh the chapter (jeanie= ginny)

I know and I'm sorry but my sister deleted teh chaper I had preciously worked on and I had to start all over gain. lol. Sorry I'll fix things and explain better

this was a great chapter....you know getting more into the plot....hope you explain it more
like someone said earlier in the post..you could publish this....if you change the name of the characters and the scenery and what not.....and....not get sued by JK Rowling
one thing that was odd was the missing plot between when harry wakes up and DADA class. i felt there was something missin...like harry talking, he just appeared there, and i got confused, so hermonie and hary are together or whats goin on?
finally i think it was just you being a bit in haste to finish this chapter but you change people's names part way throuh the chapter (jeanie= ginny)

Forgive that I am taking so long with the next chapter but I am having coputer problems I am working on fixing them and will post the next chapter as soon as I can.

Ok as I promised, here's the next chapter. Is the shortest I have wtitten but you'll like it! Sorry for any typos as said my comp was acting up so I had to work fast..

Starlight watched her mother move from side to side like a caged bird. She smiled remembering to have seen her like this only once before; when her father went missing for two days. It was impressive to see the love between them. Sort of like a fairy tale.

Her mother and father had always made her feel loved and happy. They always did their best to make her feel that way. She smiled and began to think about all the times she had seen her parents kiss. Too many.

"Mom, why don't you sit beside me?"

Laura did not hear her.

"Mom!?"

Laura snapped back from where ever she had been. She turned to her daughter, "Sorry dear, I don't know where my head is."

"You are worried about father getting into a fight with the house elfs aren't you?"

"You know I am! He and does poor thing fight like hell."

Starlight laughed. Her father and the elf’s where not the best of buddies. She hoped the ones in Hogwarts didn't cause him any trouble. "Don't worry mom. I know dad can be a pain but he is not crazy enough to go against a full kitchen of them."

Laura smiled. "You're right."

Just as they spoke the door to Starlight's room opened. Bill carried a tray of fresh maid food. When his eyes caught the ones of the two women he loved more than life he smiled. He loved so much he would die for them. He placed the tray on the table and turned to them.

"So did you have to fight some elf's to get that, dad?"

"Actually, I did not have to go in there..."

Both mother and daughter looked at each other.

"Uhm dad, what you mean by that."

"Minerva, she knows how the elf’s and I take each other. So she went and made you something to eat and gave it to me. Now young lady she told me you haven't eaten in two days."

Laura stared at Starlight with worried eyes. "Starlight..."

"I know, I know mom." Starlight stood up with her father's help and sat on the table to eat.

Meanwhile Laura pulled Bill near the window. He stared at her and waited for her to speak. She was trembling and Bill gently placed his hands on her shoulders. She looked at him.

"Bill, don't you think it is time to take her home? I mean she's not getting any better even though she says she is. Bill lets take her home."

He shook his head. "No. She... we promised to not interfere on her choices no matter what we thought best. She knows what she's suppose to do."

"But Bill!" Laura began to cry softly. "I don't want her to..."

Bill gathered her in his arms. Starlight was their only child and he knew how much Laura loved her. He would gladly give his life for them but he knew they would suffer. Laura cringed to him as if he was her only means of survival.

Suddenly the door opened with a bang making them all jump. Sussy entered the room with a face that spoke of anger. She sat in front of Starlight. Bill and Laura looked at her and smiled.

"Young lady may we know where you have been?" Bill spoke.

"Oh you guys are here!?"

"Nice move Sussy," Starlight whispered looking at the surprised face's of her parents.

"Tell us Sussy you where gone for a long time," Laura replied.

"I went to see the tree people on the Forbidden Forest."

"You went in there without any one with you!?" Laura exclaimed.

"Calm down Mrs. Fanell! I know my way in there like te back of my hand. Remember I used to live there for a long time before my father died."

"I know Sussy, is jus..."

"Listen Mrs. Fannel before you get all chippy on me I have news for you."

"What ypes of news?"

"Not to good."

Bill and Laura sat on the sofa while Starlight finished her food.

"Man can my godmother cook!!"

"She's a great cook she is," Bill said.

"You saying my cooking is not good!?"

"Let see you get out of this one dad."

"No…see… not... well…Laura you cook great." He tried to reason with her.

"uh-huh!"

Sussy smiled. She loved this family as if it where her own.

Bill kept trying to reason with her.

"Ok ok you two neutral zones!" Sussy spoke loudly.

"Oh Sussy your such a partypooper!" Starlight Joked.

"Later we can find something to make them argue about," Sussy whispered.

"We heard that!!"

"Anywhooo. The matter is that one of Voldemort’s must powerful guards has been spotted near Hogwarts two night in a row."

"What!?"

"Who!?"

"Sherezad!"

"If he's here then I will deal with him myself," Bill exclaimed.

"No father! If there is some one to deal with him it will be me."

"But Starlight honey," Laura stood.

"No buts mom. Harry might be in danger."

"Sherezad is not here for him!"

"How do we know?"

Laura stayed quiet.

"Sussy wait here for me until I get dressed and then take me to the tree people."

"All right."

"We'll go with you..."

"No mom."

Tem minutes later Sussy and Starlight found them selves moving on the ground s of Hogwarts. Unknown to them three shadows where following them.
