Animes And The Big Screen

I just wanted to here some thoughts on the next animes that are being made into movies. I was reading and they are coming out with Dragon Ball Z, Ghost In The Shell, And an Avatar movie. Yes they may not be good movies if they are made because just look, how would they make a DBZ movie. Now Ghost In The Shell would be a great movie and in the article it said steven speilberg was suppose to direct it. Now of course the article wasn't quiet sure about the info but what do you guys think.

the dbz movie is looking more and more pathetic everytime I check up on it. goku's a skinny white boy...end of story. as for ghost in the shell, I love that anime. But recently coming to the knowledge of spielberg's involvement, I think it's going to be a load of crap. I pray I'm wrong cuz so far that series doesn't have a dent in it (imho). I have a very good feeling it's going to be dumbed down for a general audience, and steve'll throw in a bunch of CG because he wouldn't be able to get a boner otherwise.
As for avatar...really? an avatar movie?...really? that seems odd, but ok.
there's word of an akira rendition as well, but all in all I'm just walking down the avenue of embitterment on the whole live action thing now. without having seen anything and having only what I know to make judgement, they're gonna be butcher shows.

I really could get excited about a Ghost in the Shell movie, but its like everyone is saying, its so easy to butcher a series just for the sake of making a movie for the general public. But if its well made then yes, i want it lol. I really enjoyed that whole series, so if the movie is its equal, then im in.
As for DBZ and Avatar, im sorry i never got too into those shows.

So ya ok id be down with a non cheesy kick ass DBZ movie, but if its like analog said...
then thats just not cool. skinny goku???? I think not. He should be kicking ass, not geeking it up. : (

Shyamalan. Live action. I'm pretty sure they're going to butcher that one.

There's two, and the show is the spin off. I have higher hopes for a movie from a movie than a movie from a series...

Well I think a lot of people like the idea of a ghost in the shell movie because it seems like its possible. The movie could be good because the story is mature and has potential. It's not like the other animes where the story seems inhuman.

They are going to dumb down the G.I.T.S movie so it can be understood by a wider audience. That is really lame.
