free music download site?

Anybody know any site where you can download music for free?

I doubt that you or anyone else will have any luck finding a "site."
But most people use BearShare or Limewire for things like that.
(Google will be good to you if you're good to Google. ;])

Limewire is good but the only real "site" that i know you can download some songs off of is ijigg.com

Well, thanks to Corwin, I spend a lot of time listening to tunage I really dig on www.imeem.com
Check it out, it's free to listen but not to download.

There's also a site called projectplaylist.com. It lets you listen to music for free. I actually found a way to trick the system and download the songs, but I don't use it 'cause its illegal. Not the best site, but it's something!

Online File Sharing has been the best for me, it's got less of... Er... Whatsitcalled... Well less music, but still it's the fastest and most reliable I think. I mean I managed to find every album made by Joe Hisaishi (Responsible for a lot of Ghibli's soundtrack). You can usually find stuff on Google by typing, "<Artist name> Rapidshare" or there is a directory site, www.phazeddl.com (Sorry if I'm not allowed to post a link). But if you got anything in particular you want me to find, just PM me.
