why don't you try ignoring him? everybody else probably are already ignoring him. do your best to outperform him and prove him wrong, but tried not to openly insult him. the only way to beat that type of bigotry is a sly grin, and knowing that he's only making himself seem like an *** in front of everyone. if he says something insulting, smile back and say "you relieve believe that don't you?" works for me everytime.

So let me get this straight, there is a racist person at your school, and you wish to take the moral highground by calling him a fag?

You do know that by definition fag is a derogritory term reserved for homosexuals, it is akin to calling black people niggers or a mexican a beaner. Its just wrong and just as ignorant and stupid as your racist friend.

If you wish to truly break him down then make him out to be the ignorant **** that he is whenever he comes around to be douche. Argue with him over his own ignorance by pointing out the smallest things in his rants that dont make sense, sometimes violence isnt the right answer, slowly eroding their base of support can be much more devestating to a person than a bruised face.

If you have the patience for it just wait it out. The high school era only lasts about 4 years. Then you have the rest of your life to forget about him. Think of it as loong term thinking. If you don't have the patience for it then do what you think is right.

however, this whole situation is a microcosm of the racist reality that each of us deal with every day. in order to change the current nescient ideology, the best course of action would be to confront the problem and demand change. i don't agree with previous suggestions of confronting his ignorance with violence. i know that it's probably easier and to the point, but the fight against racist ignorance is mental and psychological, not physical.

there are magnified versions of this high school bs on all levels of society. to minimize the overall ignorance, everyone has to chip away at problems like this the lesser level, like your current situation.

k, a few options here.

pull his pants down in a public situation. the more public the better. humiliation will certainly make him feel small, and the retaliation factor is minimal. trust me.

second, if his parents are friends of your parents, then duh! go have a talk with those cats about their ignorant son.

third, get a baseball bat. you don't have to use it if you don't want to, but here's what you do. find him when he's rather to himself. chillin' out somewhere, eating lunch in the caf with a buddy or something and go have that talk everybody's been mentioning on here. He'll take you a little more serious with a baseball bat laid out on the table.

third, listen to leerock. highschool is over in a snap and then the world's a completely different place. completely. It makes highschool seem like some weird practical joke where nobody's laughing at the end.

Try to provoke one of his attacks in a public place, but be sure to be surrounded by people that don't feel comfortable with that kind of talk. This as you can tell will result in complete and total public humiliation for him. I'm assuming at least a small group of people will retaliate on your side of course.
