What is everyone's favorite Final Fantasy game?

My favorite is Final Fantasy IX. Final Fantasy Tactics was good too.

FFX-2 I thought was good(gameplay wise) the story line would've be awesome if the opening scene wasn't in the game and the girly freackin dialog . FF tactics for the PS1 is good. Oh and FF7,9, and 10 where good.

For some reason i really like FF IX, even though my friends say it was stupid as hell, i just really like the monkey guy for some reason. I thought FF X was good too i mean auron was just totally bad ass.

FFVII of course was great when it come out, but I'd really love to see them port it w/ updated graphics to one of the current gen systems, I think a lot of ppl would, FFIX was great too, I loved playing that, FF:CC was good too especially since my sisters and I all loved FF and this way we could play together and finally FFXII, I don't know why no one else liked it, personally I did, especially the Gambit System it introduced, less time spent giving instructions to the other party members, I could just make one person healer and leave him alone, and I loved how the special moves in that game worked(can't remember what they are called right now) but they were cool, that and running around the enemies trying to poke them to death like I was playing KH again. And of course while I'm not a huge fan of RTS games like FFT, I have to admit that FFTA was addictive as hell, I just wish I knew what happened to my copy, I had a lot of hours on that thing and never got to finish even though I was close

Final Fantasy VIII is my favorite (i think), the characters and the world are really memorable. But FF VII is also a master of the art of gaming ....unfortunatly my PS DISC1 isn t working so it kinds of pisses me off ... FF X is really good, its emotional and all but it doesn t match the magic of the PS1 games.

I don't think FFXI really counts since it's an mmorpg as opposed to an rpg, it was a good game, it just wasn't my favorite though, I didn't like the lvl'ing system or how hard it was to solo

I agree, it was what started my mom out with the series and she really likes it too. I also heard it's the second weirdest just because you time travel or something in the game, the weirdest is Final Fantasy V, lol.

My fav is FFIX the plot was just one of the best, then very closly followed by FFVIII.
i wish i could gather the strength to complete FFVI, got a game over and can't be bothered going through lvling my characters and reading all that dialog again.

i havent played much FFs. But my all time favorite is Final Fantasy Tactics advance. ive played that game at least 3 times now and it never gets boring for me!! i just wish that u could battle other people when u link instead of fighting with them...

I played the original Tactics and I really likes it. I've been playing Tactics Advance for 3-4 years and I beat the game 2 years ago, lol. I'm trying to complete all 300 Missions.

I dont't know really it just appealed to me I'm kind of a bleeding heart type a guy so that story line hit me... and the game play wasn't a miss it was like playing in your own real live anime story::D:

Final Fantasy 2, or 4 in Japan, is definitly the best of them all. you can never beat a classic. if you haven't played it, you should definitely put it on the list of things to do before you die.

Final Fantasy II is a good one too, but I didn't like one thing.. the magic spells take a really long time to level up!
But I really love this game, it was the first FF game that I played!

ff vii knocked my socks off the first time I played it, and still does. I just started a new round on it yesterday as a matter of fact. Otherwise I really like ps1 tactics is great fun, a good challenge, and a deep story.

I havn't played Crisis Core, I'll most likely get it once I get a PSP, but I heard it was a mediocre game. Also I heard it has a great, emotional ending. It'll probably be either the first or second if I get Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions first.

No way, Final Fantasy VII:Crisis Core it's a great game!
I liked everything about the game.. the story was great, it has good characters, and I liked the battle system (nothing special though) except the ending, man the ending sucks imo!
You should get it! :P

I really like X-2, but mostly for it's Job System. Once I played Final Fantasy Tactics Advance I liked it a whole lot better. Similar Job system, but better executed in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

So far my favorite is FF8. It's the only game I ever finished. Also FF5 on the GBA.

It's almost embarrassing to say I'm still lost on FF1 and 2. But then again I'm not playing it anymore.

actually, ff4 is a 16 bit uprade to the ff2 8 bit classic. there are also new moves that cecil and friends can do. ive played both.

VII, VI, II, VIII, IV, V. in order from greatest to least favorite.
