This is the story of two friends who were walking in the desert. At one point, they had an argument and one of them slapped the other. The one who got slapped said nothing and wrote in the sand, “Today my best friend slapped me.”

They continued walking and stopped a while later at an oasis, in which they decided to have a swim.

The one who got slapped started to drown and his friend saved him. He then carved in a stone,

“Today my best friend saved my life.” The one who slapped and saved the other said to him, “When I slapped you, you wrote it in the sand. When I saved your life, you carved it on a stone. Why?”

The other friend answered, “When someone hurts us, we should write it in the sand, where the winds of forgiveness can erase it. But when someone does something good for us, we should carve it in a stone where no wind can erase it.”

Learn to write your hurts and your pains in the sand, and engrave your joys in the stone.

Send this to all of the people that you will never forget, and remember to send it back to the one who sent it to you. If you don’t send it to anyone that means that you are in a hurry and that you forgot your friends.

Take the time to live… It’s the secret to longevity and happiness…

I'm not creating spambots to send this to everyone I know and some I don't.
