So who's heard/played this game before?
its actually really good, although some parts are just too damn annoying, but its mostly just the slight beginning part thats like, and its only one character that's like that.
other than that, i seriously adore that game, its so good, the music, the scenes, and the storyline is all really good. but don't let me be the judge of that, see for youselfs!:kawaii:

It's not just a game, it's a series, but the series part of it is "Tales of". It's more commonly called the "Tales" series and the most recent release has probably been Tales of Symphonia on Gamecube. I heard all of the tales games are really good, and we own Symphonia here. If you need more info try looking at www.ign.com and put it through the search engine.

The "Tales" Series is freaking awesome! I heard that Tales of Legendia isn't that good, but I can't wait for Tales of Versperia.
PS: RPG LAND gave Tales of the Abyss a 8/10 so it should be good for RPG fans.

I can tell everyone whats it about. Its about an aristrocrate named Luke fon Fabre. He doesn't remember anything about his childhood due to a kidnapping. I think he is 17 and can't leave the manor (his home) until he is 20 (I think). He lives out his usual boring life until one day durring swoed practice with his best friend (Guy Cecil) and his master (Van Grants) a mysterious female intruder (Tear Grants) invades and attacked Van. Luke tries to fight when but than he and Tear gets blasted off somewhere else due to something called the Seventh Fonons. (teleported). After a cutscreen you learn who she is and so forth. Luke never left his home before so he doesn't know a thing so he ends up having to travel with Tear.
Thats all I'm going to say. Yes, I have beeten the game and unlocked almost everything. It is a great game. More info would be that there are 6 playable characters, 7 if you count that one thing( not saying what) and it is slighty harder than the other tales of games. It doesn't really matter once you get a useful little still called free run( not saying what it does) Its been a while since I last played it so maybe I missed a thing or two.
Almost forgot.Natalia Luzu Kimlasca-Lanvaldear. I love saying that name! That is the the longest name I know and will ever prabably ever know.

wow shadowmaks you pretty much got that on the nose! its actually a really good game, although some parts (mostly the beginning and mostly from the main character Luke) are rather annoying, but once the game gets started, its actually really good. you can have a good time with it for hours and it rarely to never gets dull.
throughout the entire game, you get references to other games like Pac Man, a ton of other Tales games, and various other games. This is due to because Namco and Bandai made it.

Here is a silly idea. How about me and some others help the people who are having a hard time with the game. I know a lot of things ( not all ) about the game like secrets, boss info, and arte combinations. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm bragging.....

Yeah... I thought I would be able to buy Tales of the Abyss, but I didn't get enough money from Trade-Ins. I'll get it next time, but since I wanted to get the Secondary Ending in Tales of Symphonia I bought it again. I had about $15.00 leftover from the trade-ins so I'll mostlikly get it next time I go over there because then my Mom's Gamestop Card will be renewed, lol.
PS: I REALLY want this game! I'll get it when I have the money.

Trust me, you will like this game. Personly, it may be better than Symphonia. Symphonia had a more serious storyline, but Abyss isn't too far away. I love the fact that in Abyss, you can get so dam powerful. Also, Abyss has so many jokes that made me laugh. Its a little Spoiler but "beware of Jade, the funniest and scariest person you can know" You will understand.

Right now I am speechless. Just 3 minutes ago, I found Tales of Abyss, the manga. HOLY CRAP!! Anyway, its on "ONEMANGA" Since this topic is about the game I thought I should just tell everyone about it. Still........a manga? I read the first 2 chapters and it goes just like the game exept for a few very little minor changes.

It's probably what started the Anime. I belive the Game was made first, but I'm not sure when the Manga or Anime was made. I might watch the Anime before I play the game just because I can watch it on here.

there is an anime about it along with animes about most of the tales series. but if you've never played the game, DO NOT WATCH THE ANIME! reason i say this is because it doesn't go with it exactly, and it most likely ruins the story. Play the game before watching it. lol

The tales series consists of MUCH more than that. Excluding all but the mothership titles and the Tales of the World titles, there are a total of 19 games. Excluded are the remakes, mobile games, and Tales of Eternia online. These games span the Super Famicon, Playstation, Playstation 2, PSP, Gameboy Colour, Gameboy AdvanceGamecube, DS, Wii, and the Xbox 360.
By the way from Tales of the Abyss, Jade Curtis is easily the best character from any of the "Tales of" games.
