Sega as a system just couldn't keep up, although if it hadn't been for the failed Sega Saturn they might have been able to turn things around w/ the Dreamcast, it did have a few good games like PSO, Shenmue, Record of Lodoss War, I liked my Dreamcast and still have the system, games and VMU's but there weren't exactly a whole lot of games to play on it that were great, most of it's popularity derived from a few games that had online play when it was still a fairly new concept and that was great, but it's offline games weren't really a whole lot to be impressed w/, don't get me wrong, games like Power Stone were fun, but they weren't enough to keep the franchise alive especially when it was competing w/ systems like the Gamecube and PS2, at this point it seems like Sega is much better off as a game developer, although they might benefit more if they chose one system and stuck w/ it so that they could put out sequels

True but some of those games that came from the sega will never be forgotten and sonic was worth it even if it didnt last

Oh wow I remember Sega! :D Long long ago, I don't think they died before their time, I believe they died just in time, maybe a little early. I did enjoy it, but still >..>

That's how business is. You take the good and the bad, you reap what you sow and take the losses as well as the earnings. Sega had put two faulty Genisis add-ons, plus an un-released, incomplete stand alone system of one of those add-ons. They got their act together but it was too late.

I liked the sega genesis without all it's crappy peripherals, I still play altered beast and soccer on it.
