I don't listen to rap, so I can't say who's the 'best' for rap. However, I do listen to rock. Nightwish is good indeed, one of my favs. I don't really got a #1 rock band, but I posted in the Fav band/singer thread (http://www.animefuel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84) my favs :3
