Now to be honest, this is something from a while back, when I was living in Virginia, probably between 6 and 8 years ago, it was a news report I saw one day, I always wanted to find the audio and maybe video clip for it, but I have no idea where to look, I thought I'd share it w/ you all so you can find the same enjoyment in it that I did, and who knows, maybe someone can figure out where to get the clip. Now this news was reported on a channel that I don't remember, so don't bother asking, it was about a college basketball star who had supposedly been kidnapped for ransom, I don't remember if that was ultimately discovered to be the truth, but during the investigation this occurred:

Some time after the player's disappearance was discovered, they found his vehicle in a parking structure(all in VA if I remember correctly), while the forensic team and police officers investigated the scene, one cocky, but apparently stupid officer was given or chose to take upon himself, the duty of speaking w/ the press who had gathered around the vehicle. And he said, and this is a direct quote, "We believe he went missing sometime before or after we found his vehicle." end quote.

It had to be the most hilarious thing I had ever heard on the news, we were still laughing about it after the player was found and weeks past it, it's one of those things you remember years later and get a chuckle from it, it was just priceless which is why I wish I could find the audio or video clip of it, so that I can replay that moment whenever I need a good laugh. Hope you all found that as funny as I did, and as amusing as the press did when they were all struck speechless due to his verbal blunder.

I remember reading this a few months past. Some bank robbers were caught because they had taken a cab from the scene...

lol Yeah that gave me a good laugh. I'll have to look for a video of it at some point.

I like those funny cases sometimes where people sue other people for stupid things and actually sometimes win. Like the burglar who was trying to break into a house and he fell through the sky light and broke his leg, he sued the owner of the house and won.

The problem is, and I hate to admit it, the burglar does have a right to sue, I've heard a lot of those types of stories, and I'm not a fan of them b/c I think it is incredibly screwed up, anytime you get hurt on someone else's property you have the right to sue, except in rare cases where they have applied to have electric fences, guard dogs, etc, and post signs in regards to them, which is really stupid, if you break into my house, ur not making it out of there w/ something broken, and if you try to sue me for it I'd laugh in your face before breaking something else, I understand that the laws are designed to protect us, but why does it always seem like that concept applies more to the criminals than the victims? And if that doesn't beat all, going to prison is practically like a resort these days, 3 squares a day, a library, gym, time outside in the yard, internet access, cable television, and that's only some of it, frankly I'm tempted to go do something horrible so I can live rent free in jail, sure I can't leave, but let's face it, how many of us actually leave the house all that often? And don't even get me started on the idiots awaiting capital punishment, it's near disgraceful how long it takes.
