I don't know, but I don't think that's accurate, although I wouldn't be completely surprised, that is a fairly prominent personality type in society today so of course the media would reflect that, but no I don't think there is an emo person in every anime series

There are no emos in DBZ I don't think. (Maybe Freeza cuz he is supposed to be a dude but he sounds like a grandma)
Sasuke is a total emo from Naruto...
L I think is totally emo as well...
While a lot of animes have emos in them, I would say the majority do not...

Emos provide filler episodes so they are helpfull, to keep a bad shows going essentially.

Kids...Please stop making up new "words".... "emo" is not even a word!! I hate that neologism! Ppl overuse it! Nowadays everything is described as "emo"... "emo this" "amo that"... don't you know other words?!... actual real words not some "prefix". This "word" should be banned and erased from every kid's dictionary! Blah blah blah... There are no "emos" in anime 'cause "amo" doesn't even exist!!!

"amo"? yeah it's more of a slang, stereotypical type of classification, not exactly a word. I do agree people use it too much. But a lot of words people these days use aren't real words... like bonerrific.

What you should have noticed is that TONS of anime have robots in some way shape or form, even in Inuyasha where everything is set when guns are scarce, or Onegai teacher's little robot helper.

I think the problem is less that ppl use the word emo so much and more that so many kids who by their own standards of who and what is emo, don't qualify, I'm sorry, I'm of the opinion that if you are a spoiled rich white kid, u aren't emo, I'm sorry daddy cut ur allowance from 2k to 1k a week, that doesn't make you emo, and goth, dear god, it's not a friggin lifestyle it's an architectural style and a description of a story atmosphere, yes I know this rant kind of got off topic, but in responding I felt the need to rant

lol.... no Koopa "amo" actually is a word... in Spanish means "a master of the house" or "a host" ^^... and in Italian "a hook"...I bet you didn't know that! ^^

I think its pretty accurate in many of the new series. High school series for instance. But of course its not true for every series Ginga Nagareboreshi Gin for instance is about dogs and of course theres no emo.
