Change in Episode status

Something I have found slightly annoying on AF is that new episodes keep the have the anime say new episodes by the title for a long time ex: Monochrome Factor had new episodes added two weeks ago and it still says new episodes that is one of the longest ones I havefound so I thought it would make a good example, butfor animes released weekly like BLEACH Naruto etc. It's hard to tell if an episodes been released by looking at the titles. Ipropose the site is changed so new episodes only show up like that for five days so it will clear by the time the next episode is out. It doesn't have to be five but at a manga site called onemanga.com that's is how they do it and it works great. on New series I'll let you decide on how long it lasts but if new episodes are released soon after it was added to AF you might want to add like a red asterisk or something so people know it's a new series but for those who have watched they will know when new episodes have been added. Just a suggestion.

The only people who are authorized to edit the homepage are the administrators of the site. Corwin has a regular schedule for updating the homepage, and he generally takes care of things just fine with the tags by the series on homepage. Does it honestly really bother you that much that a new episode tag is there for longer than a week or so?

To be honest, if the new ep tag is up, it usually means a new ep is out, I do updates, generally but not always, on Sun and Thurs, so if Mon rolls around and you see the new ep, there's probably a new ep, then when I go to do the update again on Thurs, if another new ep has come out, then I leave the tag on, if no new eps are out then I remove it, but I really have to ask, is it that much of an inconvenience? considering before I started doing it that way that the new series/new episode tags rarely change much less got removed b/c we were too busy to do it. yes, if we start getting enough new stuff added ever 2 days that it's worthwhile for me to do an update every two days then I'll change the tags that much more often, but if you aren't on in 3 days, how would you know if a new episode had come out? just like always you'd still have to manually check, so be thankful, we don't have to do new episode and new series tags, we choose to so as to be helpful and informative

I had written a detailed quick reply earlier but hit thje previous thread link now i am depressed of the wasted effort and will keep this short all though itisn't nearly as explanitory as the one before it short version scanlation groups lack consistency releaseingthings ondifferent days or a widly different times on those days which coupled with the new episode marker causes problems nopoint in talkingto them itwill be ignored but sofarI have been able to get feedback my admins and other members. Thisiisknow where near as explanitory as what i had written, so it most likely won't recieve much attension but I am tired and don't want to recollect my thoughts ADHD makes it hard enough as it is if their is some temp files for the server and its recorded th post and can be viewd go by it doubtful but...
