ok ive been thinking about the plotline for kh3
yknow how malifecint and pete "disappeared" to let the bladers fight xemnas
who said they were gone?
So, my hypothesis is that kh3 will start out with some kind of connection between the good guys and the baddies, and as usual organization 13 will be playing some part in it too(or some other third perty involved with the whole schmeal(man that was long))

The one coming out for the psp is called birth by sleep. If you've seen the secret video at the end of KH2 that's for birth by sleep. The next question is, when is kh3 coming out? None of the designers have released any information on KH3, only birth by sleep for the psp, coded for the cell phone, and 365/2 for the DS.

I won't be able to enjoy kingdom hearts after the second. I don't like the psp and I'd rather have a 360 than a ps3. However, there may be a pretty good chance that the newest games won't be console exclusive, thanks to the limited install base of the ps3 and it's relative expense. Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 didn't go multi console since the ps2 slim is $100 for a new system.

I agree, the second was like a longer more drawn out version of the first, god now i want to play KH. Still from seeing the secret movie for birth by sleep i cant wait.

I"m just not happy that I will need a PSP for the next one or a DS, I only have KH: CoM b/c I already had a GBA and even then that kind of sucked, although that may be just b/c I'm not a fan of card based battle systems, they seem like a cop-out, if they would do like the old Nintendo systems and add portable game player peripherals for the systems, like a new GameBoy player for the Wii that allowed you to play DS games and a version of that for the PS3 so I could play PSP games, then I'd have no issues getting the extra games I want

well the Wii remote could act like a stylus so it's not inconceivable, although admittedly for games that require heavy use of the stylus for specialized actions they might have to put out a stylus equivalent to the nintendo mouse and mousepad from the SNES

I thought of somthing once. You need a viable controller, but the wii mote isn't that precise. In which case, why not just create a controller where you could do that? The controller would be just one simple square pad that you would interface using a nub or a finger or somthing. Or, you could just make it a screen, but then again you might as well get a ds.

doesn't anyone remember Mario Paint from the SNES, they could always do something like that, the game came w/ a mousepad and mouse, instead of using the wii remote as a stylus you just use the control pad on the remote and a few of the buttons and place the stylus in your other hand poised over a touch sensitive "mouse pad" that can also be wireless, it sounds like a bit much, but let's face it, if they sold something like that w/ a game for $50 it would be tempting versus spending $100+ for a DS

Mario Paint was fun, but the problem is that the mouse was only simple to use on Mario Paint. Anything created needs to have applical use to other things as well, like how Raving Rabbits 3 will be balance board compatable.

I understand that, I'm not saying use a mouse now, but create something similar but w/ a stylus as it's function this time around, I'm sure they could do it, I just doubt they are trying, b/c they don't want to lose the revenue from selling the DS system, so they are unlikely to continue w/ the game boy player franchise, although I might be wrong, they might just be waiting a few years for either pertinent technologies, or just for the cost of the DS system to have fallen enough that it would be more worthwhile for them to produce a Wii peripheral designed to play DS games

Well, it is still possible. A mouse could work for the stylus, but you also need to think about the rest of the controls. Where do you put the d-pad, the shoulder buttons, volume, the little voice thing?

that's why I said in my previous post you could just use the wii remote, use the control pad near the top and a few of the buttons or could make the stylus/mouse pad like a cad system in that there are buttons labeled on the touch sensitive screen so that you could click on them instead of having actual buttons

implementing a DS console playing system would be awkward and wouldn't play well. Not all stylus motions can be replicated with a mouse, and of course there is the mic too, and the pictochat and wireless stuff too. Also, is there even a slot on the Wii where you would be able to plug this thing in if they made it? the only peripheral ports on the Wii are the USB ports in the back.

I wasn't saying to make a mouse to cover the stylus functions, they could make a tablet that works like the DS screen and you could use a stylus on it, but instead of working w/ those DS screens you'd be able to play on the tv thanks to connecting up to the wii, as for the other features I don't think it would be a problem, Wii is set up for all that wireless connectivity, they could easily add a headset for the voice functions and anything else that you could use

that's part of the problem that led to this discussion, 1 of the KH games is going to the DS and one to the PSP, but while I love the KH games I refuse to buy 2 handhelds that I'd probably only ever turn on for those games, it seems redundant, at best I might purchase the game and borrow the handhelds from a friend

yeah I have friends that have them, but I'm in CA and they are in VA, so it's not like I can ask them to mail me their game systems so I can play one or two games and then mail them back...

This is true as statted earlyer, birth by sleep is for the PSP, coded is for the cell phone and 365/2 is for the DS.

yeah, I don't really like the idea of cell phone games, partly b/c a lot of them only work if you have a specific model of cell phone and/or a specific cell phone carrier, and most of those cell phone games won't see the light of day outside of Japan so even though we know about them, it won't matter, and I'm not going to pay $300-500 for a specific model cell phone, and switch carriers just to play it even if it does get subbed and brought to the US, now if say 6 months to a year later they port it over, maybe as an extras disc w/ the KH3 game on PS3, or as a game you can get on the Wii's Virtual Console w/ Wii Points, then I'd be willing to play it

Cell phone games sell well over in the Asian market though, meaning its a quick way for game developers to make a quick buck by making a simple game any high school student could put together.

Anyway to go with the topic, I love the Kingdom Hearts series. Cant wait for some information on KH 3. Doubt theres any with news on it with the teams working on Versus XIII.

yeah I know what you mean Dark Zeik, the problem is that they advertise them over here as well, but rarely do they actually come here, which means your option is to get the $300 model phone that will actually play it, then have to mod it voiding your warranty, and then figure out how to get it since we don't read chinese or japanese, if they would at least put them out like I described, later on, sort of like how Ocarina of Time was re-released on Gamecube after a few years at an inexpensive price, sure we'd have to wait for it, but in the long run it seems like a sound investment, even if they decide to release it in the US market on cell phones, if a year or two later they decided to do a disc or online release, that would be great and net them increased revenue from the gamers who couldn't or wouldn't do the cell phone version

There's no reason to worry about missing anything in the cell phone game since all it does is retell the story of KH. No, but really, I didn't like it because its not my kind of game. I like shooting, blood, gore, brains, explosions... Although there are some fantasy games that I enjoy, there are very few of them that meet my standards.

Really? I thought that Kingdom Hearts was the best, Kingdom Hearts 2 was good, but you should play the first one beforhand. I would even say to play Chain of Memories, but not many people liked that game. If you beat Chain of Memories you'll understand a lot more about Kingdom Hearts 2.
