Resident Evil 5 whats your opinion

hmm....judging from the trailer (as seen on IGN), this looks to be quite interesting because of the new game mechanics and all that. however, somehow...the story doesnt quite seem to be as engaging or as scary as RE1-3, and more like RE4.

if i'm not mistaken, RE5 is kind of like, you against a horde of people controlled/driven by something, right? kind of like RE4 in that sense, i'm guessing....it will probably lack the sheer terror of being amnushed by the undead in narrow, tight, badly-lit urban landscapes or underground labslike the first three games of the series. even with the new game mechanics like how your 'eyes' will adjust to the sudden darkness/brightness, i'm guessing that the 'fear factor' will just be cliche.

overall on a brighter note, it DOES look like a great game...if only they would release it for the PC......XD

I don't want it to be completely like RE4, although that is not a bad thing, I'd like to see something different! No aspects to gameplay. Also, turn up the horror factor. Chris is looking pretty cool so far! He may be better than Leon! We'll see! In time!

I think it looks pretty cool. I've liked the RE series so far (I don't have the guts to play them myself, my friend comes over and beats the game, I literally men beats, in like an hour...) The story line was all the same until RE4 came out and they changed it up a bit without zombies but possesed people instead. I'm hoping RE5 mixes it up too.

I have seen something more clichéd, have you heard of Battlefield: Bad Company. Bordering on a joke, rather than a serious game. So cringe worthy.

2-when you saw ada when she shoot the big dude ... when you are looking by the window is writting ... a women in red dress... but she's wearing an rpd suit XD

so... the only suit better in the secondary costume is the one of ashley...

anyway... I play the demo :D it's sooo fun the multiplayer thing put it even more interesting :D i can't wait to have it ^^

I've played the game and it is THE BEST horror survival game ever. It does have the effects where your eyes have to adjust like Soulten said and the graphics are more real than ever. The bosses are tougher than before and you have way less space to store items ( only 9 ). Plus it has an awesome storyline and several unique weapons like the Grenade Launcher and Stun Rod. So ya, it's a good game.

Actually it's 18 if you count your partner.Anyway, It seems like they combined elements from other RE games and put it in here. I mean, RE0's partner system, Outbreaks online system, RE4 gameplay, viruses from all of them, and some other minor things. lol, they combined the best things of the best games to make the best RE game.

We just got the game yesterday, we really like it so far. I think the only problem I've found is how glitchy some of the stuff is...ie: boxes, dead bodies, fuel cans...all twitching and crawling the walls like a freaking poltergeist. Other than that I really like how it's two player...now I can play with him as opposed to watching or playing by myself and dying constantly.
